Simple Research.and this Forum!

To be fair, the search function for this forum really is terrible and you can't always find what you're looking for.

I've run into this a few times where I was looking for something that I KNOW we just discussed within the last few weeks and my search has turned up nothing relevant.

Mike I fully agree...but again..I am questioning the very basic of questions that you or I could find in our Appraiser 101 books.

A basic google search will go a long ways these days.

I still go back and watch those FHA videos when the rules were changed years ago..
I still exhaust every ounce of questions I may have before I post them to this forum.
I think many folks do that.

If you have to ask..you do so because you need the input as you are at a standstill...
and you really need a forum to help. Thus the definition of a forum.

I take offense only when that very basic research is not completed and some are looking for easy ways out!

I find that business, fatherhood, an elderly mother that needs care, and life in general suck up most of my overall energy reserves. Though I'm relatively new to the forum, I sincerely want to be outraged by those inconsiderate enough to ask a question whose answer could possibly be found elsewhere on the Internet Machine. After all, I have almost twenty years in the appraisal business, and a sense of outrage at those who know or have experienced less than I have is my hard earned right.

How dare they! Whoa. Though that felt good, it also took a lot of energy and made me feel faint. It's after 10:00 in Cheeseland. It would be unpossible for my 47 year old *** to handle that type of output even after a good night's sleep, much less in the middle of the night.

I want to thank those who do have the energy to become outraged over message posts on the Internet Machine. Since I began posting here, I have found I have only enough gas in the tank to occasionally offer an opinion, ask one or two questions hopefully low on the enraging scale, and click by those threads that don't interest me.

Stay outraged for me. I enjoy reading this type of thread. It angers up me blood and makes me feel alive.

Typical newbie, padding her post count.

Well, TC, it looks like that comment was directed to me, which was not very nice. That is a good example of why many appraisers do not even bother to post to this forum; commenting on questions, assisting other appraisers or asking pertinent questions.

Sorry, TC. I could care less on how many posts I have and my main goal in this lifetime is not to achieve "Addict" like yourself. What I was attempting to state is that the reason for this forum is to bring together experienced and non experienced appraisers. And while some get annoyed with posts, I feel that it is a good thing that some appraisers take the time to post a question period. They could just out there and do the wrong thing and just learn by experience.

So with that, I will go on about my day and make sure that I don't pad my post count.

I am coming from a somewhat frustated situation. So please understand.

I have noted that several recent posts on this forum relate to questions that can be EASILY answered by doing some very basic and simple research. My GOD the internet is full of answers if one takes the time to explore.

Patti, sheesh, ya know, if you had like searched the forum you would have found this was discussed at length previously!!:new_smile-l:

Don't sweat it Phoebe, how do you think TC got so many posts under his belt?:rof::peace:

That TC's not a bad fella .. (he's not a good fella, either) ..
