I have an HP Officejet Pro 8710 and it's been great (Print/Fax/Scan/Copy/Web options)
I had the previous version before and stayed with this brand b/c the previous was a work horse. This one has lived up to the same reputation. I print a lot (I'm old school)

It's wifi so no cables to my laptop and can even print from my iPhone if needed

Has option for Legal and Letter sized paper

Thinking wifi is pretty much standard...same with thumb drive/image scan disk. Nice part with Epson Workforce WF-7720 two drawers one with option as big as 11" x 17"...essential for DOT maps.

unless i remember incorrectly laser drums were $$$ as with toner. inkjets rival lasers color and speed yet their ink tank printers can last up to 2 years on new ink. just starting to look now so thanks for your input but i think ive already moved past laser printers.

I use a Brother Laser - $100-120 Bucks for my HL-2240 , you can buy refill dirt cheap. Drum last 30,000 pages and then I reset the Drum. Just reset it at 60,000 and its good for another 30,000
I have had this oh, I don't know maybe 10 years.

thanks for the input guys and gal. i settled on an epson AIO with print speed up to 40 ppm. my old printer is a dinosaur compared to this! do more in less time equals a RAISE!!! :dancefool:

HP is the devil.
Running with the Devil.
Cue Eddie and the boys.
I run it with no color cartridge.
One B/W cart last me about 6 months or so.
I mostly print to pdf.

Late to the party but I once had an HP AIO Officepro that broke down a few days after the warranty expired and I swore I'd never buy an HP product ever again. Fast forward to 2016 and I decided to try an HP Envy because I came across this deal called HPinsta-ink. Never run out of ink. $9.99/ per month for b/w AND color cartridges. Wow!! The plan allows 300 pages, but only $1 for every 25 pages over that amount. Most times it is $10, but during busy times the most I have ever paid was $35 which is still less than what I was paying for just black ink only before I discovered Insta. I cannot believe more people don't use this service (at least those that still print and make copies). The printer always knows when I'm low on ink so they are auto shipped and I never have to worry about running out of ink again.

Sammy, I think HP is making that extra cent you talk about in your Sig line! :fencing: :dancefool: (it's a joke :peace:)

I use to try and save a penny by getting those refill kits, but finally gave up and told HP here take my money.

How many Brinks trucks showed up to your house to haul them away? :drinking:

I never buy ink from HP although my printer is HP. I use maybe 2 black XL cartridges per year.
I also like the scan function. Those few pages I generate and any the agent may give me get scanned and the paper recycled. I don't keep paper files any more.
