Standardized Property Measuring Guidelines

A hypotenuse only works with right angle. How do you find the hypotenuse of an isosceles or scalene triangle.
a sine of the times. if you have 3 measurements you can determine the angle later. Again I have never encountered a house where a right angle cannot be determined. But if you want to do so, it might take 2 people and 2 measurements. 1641576466458.png

as architect plans are often enough in error because contractors sometimes don't follow them.
or the architect flubs. I recall in my engineering tech days when we (construction inspectors) were called to look at a water control structure designed by our architects. and they couldn't frame it up to pour concrete. Seems someone got carried away and in essence, had created a Penrose Illusion... oppsy doopsy. The architects worked on that all night to fix that.
On those few occasions were you cannot get an accurate exterior measurement, you can substitute with interior + wall thickness.
True enough but OTOH, as I have said, I've never encountered a situation where I cannot "do" a right angle. Every straight wall can be measured from afar if you can see both ends. So every intersection of a wall can be turned into a 90.
I can see possible national board that does license and USPAP
You've been dreaming that for the past 5 years.

Joan don't like me.
Joan don't like USPAP. It hurts her agenda. Joan don't like me.
You gotta get off drugs Eli.

I am tired of arguing with walls. I am out on this. Just deal with it when it becomes official and handle it the way you want like you are going to do anyway. All wanted to explain was that it is not that big a deal to spend 60 pages whining about it.
I think about 10 pages are attributed to you....:ROFLMAO:

*hand in air* So how does ANSI deal with rough cedar beveled siding (1 inch tappered to 3/8th) and how do you use a iPad, Ladar or a Disto to make sure that ANSI length is correct?

No matter what measuring device you use. It is only as accurate as the user of that device. Even the infallible lasers. It will be interesting how CU deals with the "new" GLA for Cape Cods. All of a sudden. The second level GLA in CU for Property "x" will disappear when the new standards are used for subsequent inspections of property "x".

The Appraisal Subcommittee to review appraisal policies

Members of the consortium include the National Fair Housing Alliance (a civil rights organization dedicated to eliminating all forms of housing and lending discrimination and ensuring equal opportunities), Steve Dane (renowned expert on fair housing and civil rights law), and Better Mortgage (which brings multiple appraisers in a team led by Jillian White, head of collateral).

“ASC and CLEAR are very pleased with the caliber of these proposals and qualifications of the selectees,” said ASC executive director Jim Park. “This is an important step to determine if USPAP and/or the real property appraiser qualification criteria have had a disparate impact on people of color and women entering the appraisal profession, as well as consumers who are directly impacted by appraisals.”

USPAP has made you a racist. the SOW rule makes sure of it.
This is good quote:

Additionally, the review will examine the process for training and retaining new appraisers and consider barriers to entry that disproportionately impact minorities and/or women. The consortium will also evaluate the process used to promulgate changes to USPAP and the Criteria.

My question to you is what is agenda?
