It's so funny that folks are that interested in someone they'll never meet. Not sure why folks are so judgmental of others without knowing the situation? In this case, they lost most of their retirement donating money to an attorney over visitation/care for one of their other grandkids. They just don't have enough money to last through retirement.

Your advice appears much like any other socialist/communist. Parents - you work your entire life building something - and then just give it to someone else because old people don't deserve to make very much money.

My parents live with us. They have some assets they don't draw down. But even if they didn't have anything, social security covers all their expenses including food and two overseas trips per year. Retired people do not need $240k per year while their middle aged daughter and adult grandchild are making $75k each from the family business.

It doesn't matter if they don't have a dollar for retirement or the reason why. That's just pure greedy.

As soon as someone says another is 'greedy' for wanting to continue to work - I know it's a socialist or communist making the post. What another person chooses to do - or not do - is no one else's business. Lots of Karen's around, though.
