24 Hour Appraisals

As soon as someone says another is 'greedy' for wanting to continue to work - I know it's a socialist or communist making the post. What another person chooses to do - or not do - is no one else's business. Lots of Karen's around, though. :)

Most parents and grandparents are thinking how they can set their kids and grandkids up for success. There is nothing socialist, communist, or karen about any of it.

I can't believe it.

It's still a decent way to make a living.
It used to be a decent way to make a living (speaking for the real estate license side). Some can ride out a few more good years in it ( I hope I am one of them). Beyond that, the future, imo, looks pretty bleak. The GSEs are aware of that, and their own policies made it so. WAIVERS taking away a chunk of volume, then cutting orders up into fast food widgets with a non-appraiser PDC collector doing the inspection and talking another slice of an already modest fee.

I suppose some will make a moderate if grueling living doing AMC and staff work, others might make a living from the small segment of private work and whatever lending work remains direct order as well as if there is enough high value or complex ordes ( typically they are less volume )

Actually, it is, literally, the businesses of others in the same profession because their own fees and prospects are affected by what their peers do—or do not do.

Back to the OP and the video I posted.

Most of this is a money grab while fintech and A.I. money is flowing in the streets. There is no way any of this pencils out for the tech companies, especially the noobs like the guy in the video. Even he admits this stuff is being developed for the few as opposed to the many. Really strange times.

That makes even less sense than Flacco. Unless you're trying to make an esoteric post? Confused...

The 24 hour appraisal is obviously a hydrid. It's been an option for a while now. So it is not something new.

The actions of our peers ,wrt to their fees and if they are hitting values or cutting corners to do speed work affects our business because they are our competitiors.

Everyone in any profession is keenly intersted in what others charge and do -

Of course there isn't. It only becomes communist or socialist when one person tells another what they should, or shouldn't think. That's when it becomes a Karen issue. And thank you - you've provided a simply perfect example of such.

Flacco isn't talking about what an appraiser charges. He's stating that grandparents shouldn't be allowed to appraise because they've already made too much money.

I wasn't addressing him specifically. ( imo his statement makes no sense )
