SFREP and 3.6

Unsure if you are familiar with Spark 4 Apprasers that has a TrueTrack [sp?] option that according to a company rep will be a 1-stop functionality to populate the 3.6 format. I use Spark but not TrueTrack--I'm not ready yet to trust adjustments to any system other than my own--although it is a functionality that purportedly provides adjustments and corresponding rationale, as far as I am aware...although if the prmise is true, it might be the 3.6 fix that we need [As an aside, I love love love the Spark process that costs about $90/month for unlimited 2.6 assignments.]

There are many 3.6 videos on youtube for SFREP. They frequently have webinars for subscribers on 3.6 and other forms and if you miss them, they can be viewed at your leisure. I'm patiently waiting for the one magic on site gadget that truly works. There seem to be so many broken promises with those devices being sold with the blessings of the other software vendors.
spot on comments, Have downloaded the demo from SFREP but yet to work through one yet. Timely discussion as a ACI user, I won't be moving forward with them. SFREP or AIVRE appearing to be more user friendly from what I have read here. Appreciate the feedback !!

I know some who use Spark and are very pleased with it. Someone posted about it in here last week., TrueTrac is one of those products I see posts about and also get a lot of spam email from which make me question them. :-) I’ve read where some folks are using 2-3 gadgets in addition to their software to complete the 3.6 which is what I want avoid. It seems the ones in here who arrogantly claim to be experts on 3.6 and say it's an easy learning curve don’t even do 2.6s, it reminds me of the absent minded business professors who never ran a lemonade stand, yet they’re qualified to teach economics. :LOL:The next time I call tech support at SFREP I’m going to try to get some inside current scoop on 3.6, the only problem is their software works so well I rarely have to call them, sometimes it’s years between calls. If Fannie sticks to their November deadline for 3.6 it’s going to be an appraisal version of Y2K and I feel sorry for anyone in tech support at any of the appraisal software firms, they’ll probably placed #2 on the scapegoat list, right behind us.

SFREP has a live webinar Thursday, it appears to be open to anyone and it should be available to all on their youtube links soon after. Here is their link for archived webinars.

Some of you may remember the late Ken Rossman, an appraiser who created a SFREP user group on yahoo. Yahoo discontinued user groups in 2020. It was a great place to search and share tips on SFREP with no peanut gallery to contend with. I was informed by a peer that Facebook has a SFREP group, however; it’s monitored by SFREP to keep out spammers and they have to approve all questions which sometimes takes a day or so which is far too late in a business when you need answers quickly. With 3.1 there is far more chaff than wheat when it comes to getting honest answers.

If only there was an existing forum for appraisers to share and discuss SFREP software and 3.6. Oh well.

Wow, I knew there was a tech forum, but never realized there were sub forums for different software. I hope I didn't violate some finer point of USPAP by not starting this thread over there.
Hey Everybody....What happened to Fernando????

Hey Everybody....What happened to Fernando????
Fernando has been absent several months and it’s a mystery, someone started a thread about him and there were several opinions on where he may be.
