How about everyone call a truce and get back to the basics? Maybe some of the people who truly disagree with the whole concept should just agree to disagree. Then whomever thinks this petition is a good idea, but thinks there are bugs to be worked out, should email Craig with their suggestions. Then the people that agree with the final product can sign it. Anyone who doesn't want to sign it can go about their business. This is the holidays. It's stressful enough as it is (believe me, I just did my second round of Christmas shopping, ugh).

Sorry, Kerry, but Craig doesn't actually want constructive criticism. He hasn't factually addressed any of the flaws pointed out in his petition, merely argued that he's right and we're wrong. There's nothing we can do to help someone who really doesn't want any help.

It's o.k. Em Tee. Like I said, whomever disagrees could agree to disagree and leave it at that. Anyone else who does agree can give their input and sign (if that's what they want to do). Some arguments just can't be settled and that's when it is time to walk away.

In the issue of fairness.

After the long barrage of words, Craig has been in contact with some of us about re-drafting the position statements in the pettition.

He accepted my constructive criticism without any negativity, and I am looking forward to seeing the new, bigger faster stronger document.

some of the comments I made to him were:

Change the wording to not appear so disgruntled

Limit the statements only to fairly objective comments, and have evidence and/or concensus to back you up.

There were several items I encouraged him to delete, and a few to add.

All in all, my comments were received with appreciation, not disdain of any kind.

So, BOTLO for a new improved version to rip to shreds...:rof:

In an effort to start the ball rolling.

I have been working with Craig to clean up his petition, and try to point it in the right direction.

I don't think that 100% agreement is necessary to sign this type of petition. There are a few of us who are trying to organize a bit and try to improve this profession.

I don't always think that regulation is the only way, or even the best way--but since regulation is coming, we would like to try to find ourselves with some influence on the outcome.

If you think you can get behind the overall spirit of this petition, I would encourage you to sign it.

sign it at:

If you can think of ways to make it better, please--do as I did and offer a re-write.

If you want to sit from the balcony and snipe those of us at least trying...I would encourage you to excercise some restraint.

Thanks...this is the beginning of something that can help do some good for all of us.

No comments, am I to assume the silence is an outright rejection?
It is the Holidays, and I am sure many are following it. Sometimes you have to listen to the silence.

I almost forgot!

You can sign the petition at

Thanks!!

Just a quick note in reviewing the document. In bulletin #3, the last sentence states "can not me met".....may want to change that to "can not be met"

In keeping with the idea that if one can't say something good or constructive, say nothing at all; my comments are the following:
