ACI Is Not Running Again

Not a single update from First American since the 22nd. They should just pay the Black Cat the ransom. Deep down they know they deserve this after stealing money from appraisers for so many years.

Oh, the STRESS! I don't know what to do because I really don't want to go through another learning curve with a new software program, but more and more, it appears that's what I'll have to do. Flood maps are no problem, just copy and paste from FEMA, and I can do the old fashioned Comp arrow thing for a comp location map. But then, there's the upload problem. I can't even sleep nights worrying about this. The worst is, ACI isn't telling us anything.

I am keeping my ACI license and am now focused on learning Total. I have produced several reports and an happy with the software. I recommend it.

An AMC I send work to scrapped ACISky which was awful their new uploader is much more efficient and clear cut good riddance

I cannot even figure out how to add photos pages
Seriously. It is very easy to add anything from the forms library. When you start a new report. It is the yellow page icon in the upper left hand corner

Possible help from another forum:

“Hi everyone,

Freedom will be adding a free convert pdf to xml on its website later this week. ACI users can use it as often as they need to, in order to get past this crisis. There is no charge, no sales pitch, no obligation.

Just an appraiser helping out other appraisers.”

deleted I put this in wrong thread

I bought a Total license last week and have spent time learning how to use it. Be sure when you start a new report that it is UAD compliant. Start a new report using the order form too. Also, watch the tutorial. I have not needed any support since I started using the software. It is going to take extra time to produce a report using it the first few times but by the second or third report you should be able to be proficient. At least that is my own experience over the past five days. I bought a subscription to the InterFlood maps too. And I am using my Apex 7 sketch program with it.
On 12/21 I signed up for the trial and got an email when you click on the link it said they would call to get me signed up- they never did, I have tried calling dozens of times and emailing- today I got a reply auto email that the rep is on vacation until 1/2. How did you reach them????

Thanks for the tip. What company is Freedom? What is the whole name? Thanks again.

total leads the way in technology for appraisers. having used both and hearing of clickforms complaints from a friend,
I had Clickforms for 20 years and never had to call support but once and that was to move the program from one computer to a new one.

I demo'd Total years ago and it was too frick'n complex and needlessly so. Plus the "demo" charged me 20% for "restocking" it anyway. I can see it might have advantages in a larger urban area, but import and integration features were worthless for some things in the large rural areas I worked.

SFREP (Appraise-it) works very well. Clickforms is comparable. ACI? Everyone around here hated the program. I cannot think of anyone using it. Most are Total and some are Clickforms. ACI nope.
