ACI Is Not Running Again

It's the same as using ACI to convert, no difference.
Its much different when your appraisal software does it, rather than some unknown 3rd party. And they definitely have the capability to save every appraisal that is uploaded there. This is an awful solution and people are dumb if they actually give them their reports.

It’s a known 3rd party as much as your software company. I don’t know anybody at my software company.

Does this appraisal software user agreement result in possible USPAP violations for the appraiser?
https://www.alamode.com/legal/eula/titan

It states:
"ALM may retain and use information collected in your use of the Service."

The user agreement does not state which information they are using and for what purpose, other than to say "appraisal data" will not be "accessed by ALM or its affiliates to create automated valuation models." Since the user agreement allows them to utilize assignment results for other purposes, it seems to me that by using their software you are violating Confidentiality, which states:

They can unilaterally amend the agreement at any time without notification.
"ALM reserves the right to change or modify any of the terms and conditions contained in this Agreement or any policy governing the Service, at any time. You are responsible for regularly reviewing the policy."

Also, their smart exchange and vault products have separate license agreements that give them even more access and use your appraisal data.

I guess I don't really see how the appraiser can be in compliance while using appraisal software with this type of agreement.

The precious users and clients steal the data from the appraiser to then sell it back to the appraiser all the time, colluding with TAF to regulate the appraiser out of existence. What a great system! At least the MBs are out of the picture. :ROFLMAO:

Some of these people are slow. LOL

Need a union. I have worked for a union. We should be classified as employees actually. That is a different point.

OTOH, if you got like a few thousand independents to go to the IRS with a petition and say we should be classified as employees with a really good lawyer, it would shake the business up.

Has anyone heard if ACI has given a timeframe, as to when they'll be up and running? I'm not quite ready to jump ship......Yet.

Somebody posted they have tried to call and can't get through to anybody.

I don't know if they said they could not get an answer or what.

Generally not good if you can't talk to anybody.

I think the lack of communication is what is upsetting many appraisers.

What is your interest in this particular matter? Do you use the software? Are you concerned about whether you are in violation of USPAP?
