Dustin from Alamode has reached out to me to try and clarify things. First, there is no debating the Service Agreement which is the purpose of the post. Now, what they do with the data and at what point they extract it is certainly open to debate because it is all behind closed doors. We as consumers are forced to guess. I have no doubt that there are still good people at Alamode who were there before CoreLogic. Dustin may be one of them. However, you have to understand, Dustin, you are a part of what is quickly becoming a monopoly on appraiser and real estate data collecting and redistribution. If you take the rose colored glasses off and put yourself in our shoes.. You'd be very much as concerned.
I propose if anything we perceive is going on is false.. don't just tell us. PUT IT IN WRITING! CONNECT THE DOTS FOR US! Tell us when the data is scraped. Where it is going. What is CoreLogic's intentions. Put it in writing and be accountable for your actions. Some of us appraisers are technical fools... But don't play us all as fools.
You can end this here right now with a blast email being truthful.. not some 2 minute video telling us nothing. For all we know you are being kept in the dark as well and you're just trying to save Alamode. We are concerned about the big picture. What is CoreLogic doing?
