Alamode/corelogic/smartexchange - You Have A Right To Be Paranoid

I don't see the purpose of seeing the C and Q ratings of comparable properties put in by other appraisers. It is not like they went in the house.

I think what they are trying to do is take some market share from datamaster. It is sort of like a datamaster alternative.

Detailed notes about a comparable property from the appraiser that went in the house is something I might be willing to pay a dollar for on a per property basis.

You people are hysterical and insufferable.

Spoken like a rep (or shill) for CoreLogic.

I don't work for mtg. lenders and haven't updated my Alamode in over a year; don't need updates and won't be doing any more. That allows me the luxury of watching this slow moving train wreck from the sidelines with a bit more objectivity than some others.

Its pretty obvious what's happening. Instead of digging your own grave with a shovel they're providing a shiny new hi-tech backhoe so the work will progress a bit faster.

Spoken like a true flat earther.

I agree Flacco. And that's another reason I don't use DM. I still have to double check/confirm/verify the data, especially in my markets. County records and MLS, especially GLA's of properties can be way off - by hundreds of SF - so if I'm already checking that, might as well just use my analysis.

I still use datamaster. I don't think it really saves much time but at least i don't have to type the address and a few other fields. Me lazy.

Remember the good old days when the public was restricted to "Ask An Appraiser" threads, and nothing more?

I must be getting old when I reminisce on previous forum setups.
