Alamode/corelogic/smartexchange - You Have A Right To Be Paranoid

Its not hard to do.
Wrote a program years ago to convert MLS download to UAD to upload to Wintotal.

That's easy, but again, it only converts what it can cipher from the download.

Some MLS downloads are very detailed, some, not so much.
I'm not sure how successful Corelogic/Alamode has been at accurately extracting our data. I looked at two of their examples from "peer" reports and the photos were not of the right house. Extracted data offered is also not necessarily recent 12 month sales either.

I followed up with Alamode again about opting me out of the Smart Scrape extraction plan, and they did finally confirm it in writing. I hope other appraisers will also express their displeasure to Alamode.

you keep right on waiting for the government to step in and take over control of appriasers. you have a little less than 2 years before you have to pay on your bet.

Govt could pay royalties to appraisers.

just like they did for all the shareholders of FNMA stock...

Appraisers could but that is not likely.

Govt should do it and get off their asses.

I have to disagree with you. It would be easy to do, set up a go fund me to get the project started and a lot of peer to peer engagement. It could be done as a non profit, or as a club or membership .The problem is enthusiasm, PM me if your interested !

As an appraiser I hope we all can come together despite our disagreements, so next market crash we are not divided and then replaced with automation. Larger institutions that typically fight for our best interests no longer have our main concerns as their top priority. My fees have suffered for years and what has been done about it?

I am not who you need. I can hook you up with Tennessee contacts and you can say I sent you. But that’s about it. I have several political connections on TN but that’s about it.
 
The funny thing with alalogic is that i have to down load forms from banks that have black listed me. And pay for it. Talk about a kick to the shins.
 
If this venture of selling other appraisers our data works out really well for Corelogic, soon they will want to charge us to re-use our own data!

Everyone is missing the point. CoreLogic is going to eliminate the fee for service appraiser with our own data. That is their ultimate goal. To capture as much of the appraisal market as they can... and they have the $$ and connections to do it. Just research what has happened to the Australian appraisal profession.
