Yes, my business is diversified in to Auctions, Appraisal – RE/PP/LS, REO Preservation, and several other ventures such as ranching, Meat and Taters retail, horses, and others. Visit my web sites www.raymiller.ws and www.saddlefitting.net for an idea.

I play saxophone in a band. I make anywhere from $80 to $200 per gig. That is pretty good money considering I can't play the sax worth a crap. :rof:

When did Bill Clinton become an appraiser?

Yes, going to apply for teaching at Palm Beach Community college part time. Looked into becomeng a process server as they are real busy serving papers on all the people going into foreclosure, but the pay sucks.

or getting some other stream of income in?

I am doing OK, but have plenty of time to do something else.

You could always do a few BPO's in your free time:rof:

I'm actually trying to become more active with my sales agent license. You would be surprised, telling prospective sellers that I'm an appraiser as well as an agent seems to hold more weight and I've gotten a few listings because of it.

Ray that is so cool you are into horses love your AKal Thekes...I am a horse owner but pay out, don't make $ at it. Doesn't being a farrier pay real well? That is where all my $ goes...to my farrier ( i wear old shoes lol)

I have found that doing Bikini Waxes in my spare time keeps me busy and helps me stay positive.

Use to make a very good living at it for 40+ years as a farrier. turn my first hot shoe when I was 13. But a lot of farriers still fail to charge enough to make a full time living at it. I really do miss it and the horses.

I was 16 yrs Cook/Chef mostly cook in various Country clubs etc. After 17 Years as an appraiser, Im considering a part time gig maybe 2 nights. Its a nice contrast, and until this market stablizes to some degree including any new ruling as to our direction of where were to hunt for business, Im ready !
I looked in to Cruise Ships for an externship before. You can enjoy the ports, but at least at that time, not allowed free range of the ship.

I've started up a side business that is quickly becoming the main attraction. It's an incredible feeling --- to think that soon I can say to a PITA appraisal assignment, "Nope, I really don't have the time. Maybe my colleague, Starvin' Marvin Appraiser can knock that out for you." :new_smile-l:
