I have set down with my wife at blackjack and a biker had like $50k on on the table in front of him. His girlfriend was behind him counting cards. We were down like $400 on the night. Every now and then he would throw a $50 chip on my wife's bet. We were up like $400 before the sun came up.$150 isn’t much for a lot of us. Certainly not much to me. The point was even through it’s easy for me to pay 100 for every meal I eat. I don’t like pissing my money away like that. And that’s what Vegas is - a waste of money at every turn . And it has nothing to do with gambling. That’s a choice, eating and drinking isnt. I love gambling, and prefer the higher limit tables. Hard to get a thrill with only $10 on the line.
I used to eat at a local diner in Charlotte back in the 90s/00s. Would often see the president of BOA there eating his $7 lunch. Im sure the new CEO wouldn’t be caught dead there, if it was still around.
He may not have had $50k, but it was many black chips and he was betting large amounts of money on every deal. His girlfriend or wife was counting cards. We were distraction on cameras watching you.
You can beat blackjack if you count face cards. It gives you advantage over the dealer. It changes the odds on every deal the dealer deals the cards.
When he threw $50 chip on my wife, he knew the chance of face card was high. If he lost that $50, he would come back with another $50 chip or maybe $100 chip.
There are only so many face cards in a deck.
