Anyone Have A Lead For A Guitar Appraisal?

Recommend a guitar mite test too.

How about you throw a recorder on during practice? I say this because my dad and his siblings do this 5-peice a capella thing and have been doing it since they were kids. They know a bunch of songs and sing every time they get together. My siblings and cousins never thought much about it until they started a tradition of singing at the cousin weddings, where the other 3 families would drop their jaws (literally) for how good they are. It is a truly special thing to witness. They aren't too old yet, but the time is getting close where they wont be able to record anymore and it will be lost forever in our memories. They keep saying they should record, but never get around to actually doing it. SO, if you have something worth putting on record, get off your duff and do it!

LOL - My uncle was in a band with the polka king of Wisconsin when he was a teenager and taught him a few accordion licks to boot. My uncle didn't want to pursue the wild life of polka star because of all the temptations in rock n roll - LOL - true story. He can still rip the accordion.
We record it all. 18 track interface. Just jams tho...not serious tracking.
The Polka King story is amazing...Netflix movie about it.

I can’t help you there. My son had a sequoia acoustic my parents bought me and hoped. The neck was too wide for me because I have short really fat hands.

Plus I was into singing and saxophone. Singing and Sax were my best talents.

My son got broke into and robbed. The only thing he cried about was his guitar.

He is a beast that works out every day and has people coming up to him asking for advice on fitness. Good thing he wasn’t home when they broke in. He is not like body builders who are all bulked up. He is a little bulked but like lean and ripped. He has long slender hands. He has been at the body building for at least 10 years every day.

He got a new guitar as close as he could to the old one but he says the sound is not the same.

I used to despair then I took a close look at Carlos Santana's hands. Short/fat fingers are not an insurmountable problem...maybe not best for death-metal-shredding but then I don't do that. BB King did alright too.

Lol. No doubt. The width of that neck makes a difference. I love some B.B. King and Santana.

Have you tried somebody like Gibson guitar company? They would know at least where to head you.

it is sitting in a display box in the house, so temps hover around 70-75 most of the year with relatively low humidity. i'll snap some photos later and post them here.
Something about pictures?
Wanting some guitar p o r n...

PS. The tubes in that amp might be worth something too.

recently inherited a very vintage (and most likely expensive) guitar from my father and i'm looking to get it appraised for insurance purposes. i've tried all the local places and no one was any help, least of all the morons at guitar center.

can anyone suggest a quality place to perform an appraisal?

thanks.
