Does Apex allow their license to be re-sold?
Sorry, have not been viewing AP for about 1 week. I had no trouble getting hold of them. They even said they would help in the adding it to one's appraisal software. Elliott please note that I purchased 2 licenses with only 1 license for the sketch program utilized. The remaining license never had any user on it. Originally purchased because I thought I would be hiring a trainee which did not happen. Also note, if it could not be resold, I would have not listed it. I have been a poster since 2005, a certified residential appraiser since 1997 and been a licensed appraiser since 1993 and would not lie to the forum.

I called Apex to get info if license can be resold and was put on hold for long time and later asked to leave voice mail.
Seems like company service is not good. Is company short staff that they can't answer phone?
Prior to posting the add I contacted Apex. I can supply the contact phone number if someone is interested in purchasing it. At time of purchase I can supply my account number and password. This sketch program (version 6) is very easy to learn and has some unique features. In regards to your comment that the company service is not good: I first started utilizing Apex in 1993 which was 29 years ago. To me if a company has been around that long, how bad can their service be.

James,
Thanks for the information. I've had a number of Apex licenses. I seem to remember that a few times they'd cut you off at the knees and you had to upgrade to the next level to be compatible with SFREP software even though earlier versions were perfectly adequate for my purposes. Its good software even though its like many software companies, they rely on planned obsolescence to keep customers.

Been with SFREP software in my early years of appraising (working for my brother), then with Wilson Software (sister company) and now SFREP software bought Wilson Software out. Do you not pay for a license renewal each year? Is this not similar? All the years I have been working with Apex software and can only remember a couple of times having to contact them due to an issue. If you know your software, there is usually no need for contact for support other than to add the product to your software.

I called APEX and this time I was able to talk with live person.
I asked about your situation and rep said he never heard of someone doing what you're doing.
He said he wouldn't recommend it and I'm taking a chance (of course he would say that).

The half price license should come with a double your money back guarantee. : )

Please supply the name of the Rep you spoke with as I will call tomorrow morning. You are basically calling me a scammer or a liar. I do not hide behind a user name like a lot of people do. I see you have a whole 6 years on the forum which is way more than my 17 years on the forum. I want proof to your conversation as the person I spoke with said as long as the software did not have a prior users, this can be done. He also gave me my password and account number which had to be found using my business phone number. I will be calling apex tomorrow to confirm what you are saying is true or false. Unlike you, I will supply the name of the Rep I speak with. Please note that I am not selling the license I worked with for my entire career, but rather an unused license. The Rep was aware that I was not trying to resell the license I have been using. You should find the facts out or read the entire post before asking Apex if it can be done or not.

I'm just telling you what the rep said when I called Apex. I don't know how it works in transferring your Apex license.
I should not call anymore if it's making you upset.

If you are not interested in purchasing the license, why make a reply especially one that is so stupid.

If you read the start of the post, you would understand that I already got confirmation from Apex that I could sell the unused license. You know it is a 2 way street when it comes to trust. I have to trust I will get paid for the license and the buyer has to trust the license will be transferred. Please re-read to the original post.
