Directly from their website. Buy version 7 for $295 and get additional licenses for $100.

OK I believe. However, this discount is for appraiser's working owners of appraisal firms adding a license appraiser to their staff and not a license to go out and sell to just anyone. Another words I could not go out and buy a license from Apex and advertise to other appraisers in other states. Why would a software company let someone undercut their prices?

Is that not exactly what you are doing?

No. I purchased the license about 6-7 years ago when they had a sale buy one get one free. At that time the license was $295. All I was trying to do is get 1/2 of my investment back. For the life of me, I cannot understand why people who have no intentions of purchasing would try to give me a hard time. I am glad I am retiring as the profession is going down. Too many busy bodies interfering. How would you like it if you were selling a used car for $5,000 and I came at your viewers and said they can by the same care for $1500 less. Oh ya, I practiced in Illinois 20 years prior to moving to Arizona. You must be like the other poster with too much time on your hands. An inquiring mind wonders why an Illinois appraiser would go out of their way to post negative info. What's a matter, not enough work to keep you busy??? I probably turned down more work in the past 2 years than you completed in however long you have been practicing. Like the other poster, I will not respond to any more of your bull(**)t comments so go stick your head in the sand while waiting for orders to come to you.

I was just checking to see if it was possible to buy when I called the company directly.
If you had a buy one and get one free offer over 6 years ago, how are we to know company still honor it? I'm doing my due diligence.

I probably should not even reply to your response ~ but here I go. Been using Apex sketching software since 1993. Not sure how long you been utilizing it. From version to version there is not much upgrading with the exception of version 5 to version 6. IN REGARDS TO YOUR POST ABOVE: I do not know too many good appraisers that would attack another appraiser like you. Most appraiser's are busy and do not have time for such bull(***)t. You must have much time to kill to lurk on the forum rather than useful time appraising. Anyone having too much time in an industry that is so busy right now cannot be a good appraiser. I suggest you try to spend more time improving appraising techniques rather than lurking on this forum looking to hurt people. My only wish is that Apex Software reads the forum (particularly this post) and has the way to uncover your real name to stop the illegal selling of their software. As stated previously, why would a software company allow a 3rd party seller to under sell its product (you are suggesting a cost for the new software 1/3 of its sell price) to put the software company out of business. Better be looking over your shoulder as if I were the owner of the software company, I would have investigators out there stopping the illegal selling.
So wait......you are selling an unused license to someone you hope on this chatboard, whom buys it. Someone you do not know, do not work in an office with and I am a big law breaker mentioning to the readers here that the new v7 or even the upcoming vX is cheaper then your older version? I am sure Erick or whomever else I know at Apex is fine with this post. No one is attacking you, you may feel attacked because someone is coming up with a better solution to new sketch software then your pitch for someone to buy your dated version. You actually attack me saying I am a crummy appraiser, calling me names etc. It's been amusing. You do the same here in this post above. I am a loser because I occasionally post on a chat board and must not have work, yet you are posting here too ? Hmmm. Kettle to pot yet again in your comments. I am fine, my appraisal technique is fine as well. Good appraisal technique might also include using the most up to date sketch software, right ? Not sure what appraising you do but the majority of the appraisal and lending profession will and is experiencing a large contraction in business. Sure there will be some outliers that remain very busy but that is niche and represents only a small percentage of those here. For many this protracted down swing in business plus all the AVM, hybrids, PAVE, PAREA and other racial programs will permanently eliminate 25-75% of appraisers in the next 1-3 years. I have been appraising for 36 years, 100% real estate appraisals, not like doing mortgage origination, broker, etc or whatever other hats you put on. Not an attack just a fact based run down on our careers.

Again I do appreciate the hilarious threats about sketch software, ISP discovery, etc. You are here selling a software license to a stranger, yet I am telling people they can do the same thing that you are doing for cheaper and a newer version and I am some big law breaker, idiot appraiser with no business and a boring life. Good luck in retirement James, as I have said before in several posts. ( is that what you are taking as an attack ?) I assumed it was a voluntary retirement to go enjoy other things in life, etc. If it was a forced retirement from health or losing a license, etc....Apologies.
I need to go call my bail bondsman to prequalify for the trouble I am about to get in from these posts.

Please supply the name of the Rep you spoke with as I will call tomorrow morning. You are basically calling me a scammer or a liar. I do not hide behind a user name like a lot of people do. I see you have a whole 6 years on the forum which is way more than my 17 years on the forum. I want proof to your conversation as the person I spoke with said as long as the software did not have a prior users, this can be done. He also gave me my password and account number which had to be found using my business phone number. I will be calling apex tomorrow to confirm what you are saying is true or false. Unlike you, I will supply the name of the Rep I speak with. Please note that I am not selling the license I worked with for my entire career, but rather an unused license. The Rep was aware that I was not trying to resell the license I have been using. You should find the facts out or read the entire post before asking Apex if it can be done or not.
Dude, you are hilarious. " i want proof of the conversation" I am sure Fernando will supply that to ya. The rep he talked to is a Pisces with and Aquarius ascendant, trine aspect in the 8th house.....you may have to see who that was since Fernando did not catch the name part. You sure have a lot of time to go all Dr Phil everyday here and checking with support at Apex about this license you are trying to pawn off on people. I thought you were hugely busy in appraising with no time for this chatboard or Apex love fest. Honestly, this all has been amusing as hell. Wow there are some cranks out there with wild personalities.

I wouldn't get too worked up about Fernando's comments. He probably called alamode to ask about your deal and called Apex to get support for his Total software. And that low level of confusion would be a good day for him!
Fernando knows exactly what he is doing and saying. Real world I would actually imagine he (she?) is a great appraiser who comes this site for entertainment, laying out the satire and sarcasm while still yet rarely exchanging meaningful topics too.

Again, you are selling a dated version sketch software to a stranger. So you are doing what you say can't be done. And it's " In Other Words" not "Another Words" Is that grammar attacking you by me ? I enjoyed my lunch break at the desk or is it lunch brake? Now back to work. Anyway, good times, lot's 'O laughing on my end. Apex Version 1.5 from 1996 for sale, $23 if anyone wants, let me know.

I'm not sure if that was an insult.
