Appraisal Institute Accused of Covering Up Sexual Harassment and Test Flaws

If only we had a former head of revaa and AI member that occasionally shows up here to give some insight into the revaa room.
Chad there are many people on the forums that were or are AI and Revva members. Many top players but most don't use their real names nor do they discuss business.

Just like the AI and other organizations are infiltrated and have been embedded by Revaa or other AMC and money center banks representatives.

The AMCs and the Money Center Banks view the last few organizations as being silent arms of their Trifecta.

The Top Person was exposing the real agenda which is the operations need the AMCs and PAREA to be embraced by the politicians.

Take the AI off the table for a moment.

Do you agree that to lead a membership driven trade organization you need a leader that has the backing of their boots on the ground member's ? Yes or No ?

If you choose NO then you believe that general memberships not supporting her leadership it's not important, and they have not invested themselves in the fight to support their president.

Now based on the lack of overall support it appears the AI is run almost 100% by it's Board Members and not it's existing membership.

Now the disease has been diagnosed and members need to heal it or just move on about their business.
Truth is members have no power, it's the reason a player like Mr. Handsley can swing a big stick (he's an old pro, read the 1996 article in post 138). He knows the game and has put his people in place. This has been years in the making, years. There's nothing in the bylaws that allow members to remove the president/vice president/board and there's nothing in the bylaws that allow members access to meetings or financials. But it wasn't a problem until Mr. Handsley figured out he could consolidate power and run the org like his personal kingdom.

Two people I know saluted the AI flag every morning and rode their way up to national positions. Both pulled out after dealing with him, they wouldn't kiss the ring. Sadly, one hasn't paid dues this year and the other has moved on and contributes to another org. And you are correct, the disease has been diagnosed, and I'll add publicly diagnosed. But members don't have the power to heal it, so it's move on or accept that nothing will change and he's there until he wants to leave.

Members have the power to not be members. If they remain members they are enabling.

I get it and generally agree. But I do sympathize with members whose careers and identities are wrapped up in the letters they rent. The whole culture of AI members doing business with AI members runs deep. In the end that's why I believe, even with more MAIs than I can remember getting worked up about anything over on LinkedIn, that he will not be removed or step down and will serve as President again. Too many favors out, too many people have kissed the rings and owe their positions to him.

And I think there's a bigger play going on behind the scenes, there's more to this than a $100k salary.
