A lot of legislation get changed at the last minute once the money in the threats start pouring in. I’ve seen it numerous times over the last decade with regards to this profession.

We have a member of the Board of Trustees for TAF who has publicly claimed that the Appraisal Foundation does not engage in lobbying activities. However, IRS records reveal a starkly contrasting reality. This dissonance raises serious concerns that warrant thorough investigation. I intend to contact the IRS this week to delve deeper into this matter, and I encourage others to do the same. The implications of this discrepancy are profoundly concerning and demand urgent attention.

For certain, it would be a shame if they went after the wrong person. I'm sure the IRS will be impressed with your comprehension of tax law and filings required from 501(c)(3) organizations. Thanks for demonstrating the hazards of paying attention to anonymous keyboard warriors.

Why are you stuck in the past? The most recent TAF Form 990, 2022, is online. It happens to reflect my time on the board of trustees. Sorry, I was not there in 2019.

You also might want to let everyone know where you learned to read a Form 990 and Schedule C. What is your explanation of the amounts reported in Lines 2a - 2f?

Dude you either lied that TAF does not lobby which it does based on the IRS filings. Or you simply don’t know what you’re talking about. The question is what did TAF lobby for? And did it consult appraisers you know before doing so.
