Are Staff Appraisers paid customary and reasonable fees?

What are the roles and expectations? Are we expected to do the same work? Why should someone get paid more for equal work?
You seem to deflect from answering questions by answering questions with questions.......go figure.

Everyone hates seniority and nepotism. Yes, you should pay the same rate for the same job. Why wouldn't you? If the 20 year veteran is more productive, pay them a bonus.

A lot of the unions right now are fighting back against 'two tiered' systems where the old guys get much better benefits and pay than the young guys. It's not right.

Thinking about the jobs I've had off the top of my head: Cart pusher, Grocery bagger, burger flipper, Cashier, shelf stocker, delivery driver, dishwasher, seasonal warehouse worker, video store employee, call center employee.... I did my job just as good as the 20 year old veteran. You either do the work or you don't. I pushed carts just as good as veterans. I was just as friendly at the checkout as lifers were.

And yet your employer didn't value your work as highly as you did. Maybe they're measuring different parameters than you're using.

You aren't some rookie appraiser who's just starting out. You've had years to make the short lists that your clients and employers maintain. Why do you suppose you're having these problems? 'Cause we all know it's not because of some collective bargaining agreement that some union entered into, or some other contractual limitation that prevents an employer from paying whatever they want to a newer employee.

Huh? What possible parameters are they measuring? The carts are either rounded up or they are not.

Under capitalism, the employer will never fully value the work that you do. They will always take some of your labor for themselves.

If someone can explain how paying someone more for being older makes sense, then I'll listen. Haven't heard a single actual argument. If I can do the job just as well as the 50 year old, why does the older person deserve more pay?

What problems? What are you implying? I was just venting about one client who doesn't have work anymore. So I accept orders from other clients. No big deal. I have steady work and I still ignore certain emails. I'm grateful for that.

I live 35 minutes away from the 5th largest city in Illinois and I don't accept work there. If I turned on that area, I would have a ton of work. But they have a separate MLS and I don't want to join. Probably will this fall/winter.

Is your real name Dezra? Why are you so entitled? There is no way you have the experience of a 50 year old appraiser. How many log homes, earth homes, manufactured homes, modular homes, barndominiums have you appraised? Physically appraised, no short cut desktops.
