Artificial Intelligence

Can the user express a blanket, default standard like any of those examples you mentioned, and expect it to affect all future responses? Like ChatGPT and I have been continually revising a rquest template for my Neighborhood Description narrative... but it often backslides to a previous version. Wondering if the free version purposely is flawed to encourage user to upgrade...

probably not unless you make an all-encompassing prompt based solely on neighborhood descriptions but prompt engineering is a field/skill that is in high demand. And a one-size-fits-all neighborhood prompt may be too broad

"Yes, prompt engineering remains a growing and valuable field to work in as of late 2025, though it's evolving rapidly from a standalone job title into an essential skill embedded across AI, tech, and creative roles. The global market for prompt engineering is projected to expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 32.8% through the decade, driven by AI's integration into industries like marketing, healthcare, and software development. Demand for the expertise far outstrips supply, with salaries often ranging from $110,000 to $350,000 annually, especially at Big Tech firms like Google, Microsoft, and Amazon. However, the hype around dedicated "prompt engineer" positions has cooled somewhat, with a 40% drop in LinkedIn profiles using that exact title from mid-2024 to early 2025, as smarter AI models reduce the need for hyper-specialized prompting in routine tasks. Instead, it's becoming a core competency for broader careers, like AI process automation or content creation."

As they say, "There's your problem."

"The ten most relied upon media sources considered reliable by public trust metrics and relevant to Perplexity AI’s reliance are:
1. The Weather Channel (top ranked for trustworthiness)
2. BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation)
3. PBS (Public Broadcasting Service)
4. Reuters (recognized for neutrality and accuracy)
5. USA TODAY and USA TODAY Network local newsrooms (partnered with Perplexity)
6. Detroit Free Press (a USA TODAY Network member)
7. The New York Times (high journalistic standards, many Pulitzer Prizes)
8. CNN (widely watched, generally trusted in varying degrees)
9. NBC News (legacy network, reliably trusted by many)
10. Wall Street Journal (noted for quality reporting, especially on finance)"

I like that the Weather Channel is first

I like that Fox isn't on that list.

So all that shows is that 'Perplexity' is leftist-indoctrination-source-enriched.

Would you care to ask Grok the same question for some semblance of balance Mike?

Didn't you enjoy the RW panic which ensued after Grok said there was a 75% chance that Trump was a Russian asset? I know I did…

And then the Leftist bias in the algorhytm was fixed ... :clapping:

But wait, it gets worse. So Peter Strzok of FBI fame is in the news again....but somehow, someone 'scrubed' him:

"The posts by Peter Strzok were deleted from the Wayback Machine because he himself deleted all of his Twitter/X posts in July 2025. Following his deletion of posts on his official account, the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine removed all archives of his Twitter/X posts, effectively excluding them from its public archive. This removal appears to have been authorized or acted upon by the Internet Archive, as the archived URLs for his posts have been excluded.
The deletion coincided with heightened scrutiny of Strzok and federal investigations related to the Russia collusion allegations and other political controversies. There are reports that the deletions were part of a broader effort by Strzok amid ongoing federal criminal investigations concerning the “Russia Hoax” and related matters. This led to public concern and debate about control over archived information, censorship, and information preservation, especially since the Internet Archive also removed other controversial archived content.
In summary:
• Peter Strzok deleted all of his posts on X (formerly Twitter) around late July 2025.
• Following this, the Internet Archive removed the archived versions of his posts from the Wayback Machine.
• The reasons appear linked to Strzok’s actions and possibly requests impacting the archive, against a backdrop of federal investigations and political scrutiny.
• This raised concerns about archive censorship and transparency around Internet Archive’s control over such content removal .

...........................
"No official detailed public explanation from the Internet Archive about the exact authorization or method of removing these posts has been found, but it aligns with the deletion of posts by the account holder and subsequent archive URL exclusions.
.........................
"In summary, there is no easily accessible comprehensive alternative web archive offering full timestamps and complete content for Peter Strzok’s deleted X posts beyond what was once on the Wayback Machine. Partial captures or textual excerpts might still be found in legal documents, investigative journalism archives, or smaller niche archives, but no widely known fully indexed alternative archive exists at this time .

.......................
"In summary, while AI can struggle with reliability when internet records are deleted or manipulated, robust data sourcing, transparency about data provenance, and human verification are key to maintaining trustworthy AI outputs despite the ephemeral nature of some online information. The Strzok example underscores the importance of multiple corroborating sources in AI knowledge bases for ensuring information integrity.

AI is going to be used as a big propaganda machine by those in power.
