Bitcoin Is Over $7,200!

The Emperor has no clothes.

The US Government is a lawless outfit. It prints money at a whim. All of this lawlessness is why people are fleeing into Bitcoin. We are morally bankrupt. The future plans of world government are to go to negative interest rates.

The future plans of a basic income is horrifying to anyone who has a scintilla of common sense, but that is a small minority at this point. That small minority is running towards the exits. Go ahead and beat up on Bitcoin - it consistent with a lazy attitude towards the reality of the situation. The hard work of intellectual curiosity and the ability to act on that intellectual illumination is a new movement of peoples who will inherit the benefits and rewards of block chain. There are thousands of block chain ideas just waiting to replace Bitcoin.

It would be prudent as a sentient investor to be on the forefront of this new innovation and be in a position (knowledge wise) to act. For example, if Bitcoin becomes too bloated/clogged and can not find enough electrical power that makes sense - then it will be replaced with a greener substitute (POS - proof of stake) which uses comparatively much smaller amounts of electricity.

How about an EMP? Well, they have already figured a way around that one. Nexus coin uses satellites from outer space which will be immune to an EMP.

There are so many possibilities. I want to be on the front end at least trying to secure a future for my family and be a fellow sojourner with other brave peoples that want a better world that passes on a hope that can build the earth into an inter-galaxy future.

Why build the earth better? As Michener has said, man wants to explore and create. The future belongs to the brave. Our current cast of elites are out of step with the shape that the future for many reasons. Believe in something bigger than the paper mache' illusion they are attempting to cast and be apart of a bigger idea.

I choose Life, not this obvious hell. Let go of these old hellish garments of in transient corrupted establishment and come into a higher place outside the impudent magic/spells of these dying flesh inhabitants.

"And investors are frequently targeted by hackers and other criminals who seek to steal their crypto-cash online.

Be especially careful if you are using direct, peer-to-peer platforms to sell and buy cryptocurrencies.

These are the equivalent of something like Gumtree for Bitcoin – you never know who you might be dealing with.

JPMorgan Chase & Co. chief James Dimon generated headlines when he dismissed bitcoin as a “fraud.”

"If you're stupid enough to buy it, you'll pay the price for it one day," Dimon said in response to a moderator question at an Institute of International Finance conference Friday.

The CEO said he could care less about what bitcoin trades at. "The only value of bitcoin is what the other guy'll pay for it," Dimon said. "Honestly I think there's a good chance of the buyers out there are out there jazzing it up every day so that maybe you'll buy it too, and take them out."

Dimon may be right. The word Fraud and Dimon/Goldman Sachs are also something to consider. I suppose their are those who have already given up on their futures and have chosen death. Dimon and his ilk means death to a lot of us. Thats your choice. The elites may win and have a plan to cull most of us. I am holding out for something better.

Most of what I hear in here who oppose Bitcoin, speak from no experience. I speak from experience. Learn how to hold your currency in a hardwallet for starters.

Do you honestly believe that something with no intrinsic value is creating value organically? How? Isn't it like saying you sold your dog for $1,000 but took in 9 cats in trade at $100 apiece?

Taleb suggests...
Bitcoin: my answer to the repeated questions. No, there is NO way to properly short the bitcoin "bubble". Any strategy that doesn't entail options is nonergodic (subjected to blowup). Just as one couldn't rule out 5K, then 10K, one can't rule out 100K. Gabish?

Terrell,
There was no way to short Bitcoins in the past, but that is going to change. I would imagine a ton of bit-o-heads will want to lock in their 'profits' but won't be interested in paying the premiums, cause they will be very high. Same goes for shorts. It just needs a few bad stories and some well capitalized people to see an opportunity to drive its price down to the basement. IRS requiring reporting from some of the agents could be a killer, thieves and hacks could also cause it to collapse. Essentially a bitcoin is worth less than a tulip and a gram of cocaine.

WSJ 12/10/17--
"Trading of the first U.S. bitcoin futures is set to begin at 6 p.m. ET Sunday on an exchange run by Cboe Global Markets Inc., while its larger rival CME Group Inc. plans to introduce its own bitcoin futures a week later.

One risk, critics say, is that the underlying markets for bitcoin are largely unregulated and have a troubled history. Mt. Gox, once the largest bitcoin exchange, collapsed in 2014 after being robbed of more than $470 million worth of bitcoin. Other bitcoin exchanges have faced criminal charges of money laundering."

I don't know how futures will impact bitcoin price but I hope it gets sold to the $10k area so I can buy the dip.

They are saying that the bitcoin futures are settled in cash and not bitcoins. I don't know much of about futures but cash-settled sounds like it would not have any impact on the bitcoin market.

The futures markets will not be trading 24/7 like the Bitcoin exchanges where people take possession. I have no idea what will happen.
