Calling for an appraiser boycott nationwide for a week

What is reasonable to one would not be to another. That is where a locally organized committee would come in with their demand. What is reasonable in their area, boycott, and demand it as a group? This boycott can rely on the foundation of local groups banding together to organize and create their letter of demand. With a boycott by all groups, lender will be hit at all sides.

I'm pretty sure that what is reasonable for me is reasonable for most other appraisers.

If I could talk all of my competitors into boycotting all the AMCs for a week, I'm going to have a really good week doing plenty of appraisals at $600-$800 each. woohoo

When are you going to be certified?

Frustrated with HVCC, big banks, and low paying AMCs devastating your profession?
There are more of you than them. Why doesn't every appraiser boycott every AMC for a week? The banks are making money off you. More and more banks are turning to this as a way of generating more money for their coffers. Let them know they couldn't function without you and start demanding some respect. Everyone just go on vacation for the week, thus unable take orders; it's the summer.
Start posting demands that can be complied into a letter to these lenders and AMCs. Start the discussion, email it, make it viral, boycott, and demand a change.
However, the only way for the banks to get the message is to have a massive number of appraisers boycotting at the same time nationwide. This thread is to organize this boycott. Email this thread to every appraiser you know who wants to change things. Get everyone you know involved. The date will be released soon.
Let us stand together with one voice and demand a respect for the profession.

OP. Are you working on becoming a certied appraiser....I notice you are not at this time?

If you have a tekkie job....hang on. The demand for lending appraisals is decreasing every day and there will never be enough "non lending" work to feed all of us.

If you can't get 1,000's of appraisers to quit accepting low AMC fees, what makes you think they would join a boycott? They don't care about your issues. In fact, neither do I. Make a personal choice not to accept low fees. Counter bid and see what happens.

There's a lesson in that video. The company who tried to herd cats, doesn't exist anymore.

If any of the banks are reading this they are laughing their butts off!

What an idiotic idea. m2:

Imagine what would happen to the banks' bottom line if appraisers did this. "I can't take orders this week; I am on vacation." Think about it. It is not an impossible task. How long do we have before every bank uses HVCC to generate funds from the appraisers?

Empty! This was used, man! This was actually used. I wonder how many AMCs this little can took out! Huh! Think about it!

Tekki, you gentle snowflake you. Come down out of your treehouse and have your mother make you a bowl of soup. You'll feel better in the morning.

You and me, we're the same!

I feel like Michael Douglas :new_2gunsfiring_v1:

My "boycott" has been working fairly well here. I haven't cut my fees or agreed to any ridiculous turn times and so far I have done NO AMC work as an AL or AR appraiser.....but I will say that I do keep checking my phone to see if it quit working, it just doesn't ring much these days.
