The DOE is an oxymoron. Since it's establishment scores have been going down, not up. So you are all for lower scores? What an oxymoron. Since last, we need all the Department of Education we can get.
If the dog didn't stop to pee he would've caught the rabbitIf every politician was required to send their kids to public school, you bet suddenly the funding would appear for it, the dept of Education would be a priority and the school system enhanced.
More rich kids go to private schools. They cuddle them even in private universities. Public kids more prepare and survive in the real world. Then why are the private school pupils scoring higher on SAT tests etc.?
For some reason I seem to recall PMI cancelation law is due to some politician having difficulty removing his PMI....If every politician was required to send their kids to public school, you bet suddenly the funding would appear for it, the dept of Education would be a priority and the school system enhanced.
You haven't got a clue what private and home schools do. Most are NOT exclusive schools some rich person sends kids to. There are many that are 20-30 student classrooms with no more than $2000 a semester tuition. And these kids excel at their learning far in advance to the public education. A friend who runs one only has class 4 days a week and the kids have parents who are hands on to see they learn at home too. Her son? He's an engineering student in Tulsa U. now. Her daughter, all 6' plus of her, not only volleyball but full scholarship at a Missouri school. Our church routinely sponsors a couple students annually from less fortunate families of limited means. Our public schools are doing a poor job and students that excel do so despite their public school, not because of it.More rich kids go to private schools. interpretation please???Imagine MS yutes' education if left up solely to the state....
Parents are more involved when sending to private schools. My tenant moved to my rental because it's located in a great public school district. You haven't got a clue what private and home schools do. DOE can set a guideline of what is expected for our nation's kids.Again, who does the Dept. of Education teach? No one. They don't have teachers. They don't have classrooms. They simply create a bureaucracy to wade through that actually takes time away from the teacher's time with the kids. Look up what the department actually does. It writes policy. It collects data. It enforces racial equity laws as if those laws are not already enforced by others. And it distributes funds to the states. Do we need a department costing billions to distribute 52 checks or so per year?
