More than a few heads are popping over that right now. The organizers are about to learn a hard lesson in appraiser politics. Good luck to them, I hope the fest is successful.

Phil isn't sure what will happen but by default they are now. They need another sponsor to replace them if CL tries to push the AMC, and he is talking to Alamode about this development to make sure they do pay up.

Some in this thread have accused me of mocking appraisers and their reactions to the CL acquisition of ALM. When what I actually posted was my honest curiosity about the reaction to this news that VOTA and the other organizers of the Fest would present.

Salty, not in the least. The agreement was with Joel and alamode, which is what appraisers wanted (at the time). If they remain, Corelogic can't present during the education because that is not what is approved. Allowing time for the dust to settle. The fact this is their MO speaks volumes though.

Disappointed, yes. Heads popping, no. Remember, alamode road show is what appraisers wanted (at the time) and there is no control over other businesses. Certainly understand why Biggers sold and even know the price tag, too.

Thanks for the encouragement (I think) but when lecturing anyone about what's hard, you may need to know their background first. This is nothing.

The 100% group exploded when this news broke, that’s not a criticism just an observation.

As far as lecturing, that wasn’t even close. But I do understand your reaction and it’s why I find it hard to jump on board with self appointed activists. Again, I hope the fest is a success.
