Deepseek

And I actually knew what Bert was asking WRT factor variables. I feel so smart now. :ROFLMAO:

I asked Deepseek where the Gulf of America was and it said it didn't exist. Perplexity got it right.
I asked it a tradesmen question on home wire gauge and load and it was as accurate as Perplexity.

I asked DS the per capita income for Taiwan and it started to give me the correct answer, $33K, then started to equivocate, and then suddenly erased it and said,"Let's talk about something else." LOL

I asked about Fernando in AF and no response.
Thank you. Fernando likes to stay anonymous.

The inner monologue is my favorite part of Deepseek. You don't get that with the LLMs

It is for me a bit too time consuming. The other llms. get to the point very fast. In fact I can just type in an error from my R, TeXstudio, VC or R and that is all it needs - it assumes I want an explanation for the error - which my be very obtuse and indirect - and does the best to give me a solution. Of course, sometimes it dead-ends and can't get further, --- but they (the LLMs) keep getting better. Sometimes, I have let Claude go to sleep on a problem for a week then ask it again- and it comes up with a perfect solution. Yea, it seems to just keep working 24/7 on my problems. I get more sleep.

So my understanding is that Deepseek does not have the learning capability of of its larger siblings. It was explained to me that it is moreso dependent on the learning models of other AI. Kindof like an AI learning aggregator...which is brilliant in its own way. School me if I got that wrong please.

It responded to my question indicating, "The Great Nando" should take a Fundamentals of Real Estate Appraisal course and give his tenants a lower rental rate for the next 10 years.
