It good business to do business where business is good

When Skippy lies and you don't look at the properties involved you are swearing to those lies, thus my my desk top review is $225. Don't give a damm to do them for $65.

Come on folks, this guy is a newbie on the forum!! He needs to be informed of Eapes games so he can better prepare for the next time. However, accepting these low ball fees will not do him or the industry any good. Instead of "taking" the fee because you have no work, turn off the computer and go out and meet new clients, lenders, lawyers so you can have some decent fee work. How long will will Eape keep you after the next guy undercuts you by $5.00??

Eappraise and their "Enhanced Desk Reviews" Warning!

I just had a problems with EappraiseIT due to their "enhanced desk review" which under Nova Forms is called: Residential Appraisal Review Short Form with comps....what they are doing is taking one appraisal done within the last 6 months or so by one client...asking for a review by another client who is now using it for a new refinance loan....then not only do they want you to review it...they are asking for 2 additional comps - 2 recent comps and/or active listings...now...hmmmm....isn't that a new assignment per USPAP? Then they wanted me to do this for a mere....$65!!!!! While the original appraisal fee was $400....I explained a review is done with the effective date of the original appraisal....to go past that date is not a review....it's not permitted under USPAP..they push it to the limit...they told me they would just "reassign" it to another appraiser. I explained we are all under the same USPAP laws....of course, I haven't heard back from them! As long as there are appraiser out there doing this kind of work for these kind of fees....it is destroying all of us....PS...I turned it all over to the IL State Board for Review. :new_2gunsfiring_v1:

Lukas, take all this with an appreciation of the fact that YOU are worth MORE than Eapeit(& YOURSELF) are giving you credit for..........
BUT-If you keep accepting these fees for this type of work, you will lower yourself to the bottom of the appraisers PIT.
You will get NO respect here and your new peers will be the ones already at the bottom of the pit, waiting for their turn to go in front of their respective boards........

Things are definintely changing........pay attention, it is getting good!

Good news is the original appraiser called it a new appraisal when they went to him for an update. He obviously wanted more money. So they camme to you do sneak in a review as an update.

Eape are nothing but slime!!
