In the energy efficient world of tomorrow the 100 amp service may make a comeback...if you don't recharge your car.
Excuse me. I thought I was offering useful information. Guess I was mistaken.
You're just mad because I was snarky to you in another thread.
Old glass fuses? Denied. Old 100 amp service on a large house that had been added onto from it's original smaller house? Denied.
I don't worry too much. The requirement isn't really specific despite what you posted. FHA appraisal isn't rocket surgery (for me.)
If it doesn't look hazardous and the lights turn on and such, it's probably OK. Big Frankenstein type knife switches, not so good.
We had our service upgraded from 60 amps to 200. The electrician pointed out the old circuit breaker box was over full, and the AC circuit was "Mickey Moused". Said every appliance in the new kitchen had to have it's own circuit, so the existing 2 was not going to cut it. Of course we were here for 2 years and the house for 54 before that. Nobody ever noted this to us sooner, not the inspector at purchase time, or anyone. We never popped a breaker either. Anyway. :icon_lol:
Actually, I intend to offer evidence of your incompetence, which has nothing to do with your rude posts on this forum.
Please indicate the FHA section or other credible source that outlines what you just posted.

Thanks again.
