I agree with a prior poster who suggested you ask HIM what the future will hold. Question his thoughts on alternative valuation products, lower appraiser SOW, lower barrier to the professions entry. OR does he think lenders will be more concerned about more analysis and supportable reporting. Tell him the difference in the fee is significant and ask where he thinks the chips will fall.

Go dutch and explain to him you believe that fees (profits) should be kept separated from the order placer and appraisal preparer. Enjoy your lunch, sounds like a great opportunity to share opinions!

. Trump has a high likelihood of scrapping appraisals he is the ultimate dog eat dog capitalist with losers deserve to lose mentality. In his view appraisers are losers for not being high roller RE winners. He called John Mcain is a loser for letting himself be captured. Anything that might stop a deal is garbage in his view, go ahead vote for him watch him pay you back by striking regulations about appraisals as soon as he can manage it.

With Hilary or Bernie it will be bad for housing finance. They hate Wall Street. It is investors who drive housing finance. With Trump you just won't know. If he wants to do something crazy just remember it will take Congress to play along.

Just a note to consider. Many of Bernies supporters are young. It is always interesting to note how different categories of people support different candidates (in a general sense). That is not absolute but many of Bernie's supporters are young based on the news media polls.

That probably has major implications to the future down the road. The young will be in control eventually if not now. They know it too.

I cannot draw that conclusion based on news media polls. I am not young anymore. I don't know but the news polls say he has a huge young following.
