Yesterday was a big day in the West household. After two long years my wife finally got rid of a bunch of pricey antique furniture in the garage and I got my Smith machine back! No more pull-ups on the tree behind the garage!

I'm back in the gym 2 times a week. Precor machines...feels good for this 79 year old body.

I've fallen apart after a year and a half of couch potato school. Had to reduce weight and reps from where I use to be.

Good to hear you are back at it!! I am on a quest to try to out run COVID. The onset of an auto immune disorder has left me a precarious spot if the COVID bug comes calling. In an effort to get my heart and lungs in the best shape I can to fend it off if needed I have ramped up my mileage. Going to log 135 miles of running for July ... I am up about a mile a day over what I was doing pre-COVID. If you saw me now, you might not recognize me. Down to 162 :)

Reminds me of the MD who complained that, with so many people managing their diets and exercising, pretty soon the hospitals would be full of people laying around dying of nothing.

Lowered my effective age with two new knees. Mobile enough now to get back on the pickleball court 3 times a week.
