Going back to the gym

Bad back? Work on your front-LOL. Actually, many bad backs are the result of a weak core or hamstring muscles.

Was taught this exercise 40+ years ago for lower back, it works.

Thanks, I'll try it.

Can't do it. I'm not that flexible.
My gym is open but there's restrictions in number of people in gyms so we have to wait outside until a member leaves.
I don't like to be stuck in line inside with 20 other people waiting. It could take half an hour to get in. Ugh.

I dyed my hair last night. Trying to cover my gray. Well, it's all gone.
This morning my daughter saw me and quickly noticed it.
She said I look like a cartoon character. Oh...I think I will wear a cap for awhile.

Be thankful you have hair, some of us are hair challenged. I started turning grey in my early 30's and was nearly completely grey when I started thinning on top. Went to a much shorter haircut about 5 years ago and now just wash, towel dry and head out the door. Don't even bother carrying a comb anymore.

As far a going to the gym ours opened two weeks ago, but with all the restrictions and the reduced hours it just doesn't work for my wife and I. We had purchased a new treadmill a couple of months ago to replace the one with the incline that no longer worked and I drove about 550 miles on Sunday to pickup a home gym I found on craigslist. Had seen a couple of Bowflex and Gold's machines and couldn't get anyone to get back with me. Found a Vectra 1800 in the Detroit area and decided to go with it as it has multiple stations and is very heavy and well made. Now I just have to move it from the garage to the basement and get it setup. Fortunately the basement is a walkout and I have a tractor with a loader on it so I think I will use my brain rather than my back when moving it.

The human body is an amazing thing..... My first week back to the gym I was down significantly in strength for bench press, back squats, and curls. Fast forward to week 2, I am at or exceeding my numbers from Feb/March.

I haven't been going to the gym past 10 days being so busy. Finally today I went (after waiting 15 minutes to get ini) and my back feels so much better.
Back to grinding out those reports.

It's been over 3 months since I went to the gym especially after I sprained my ankle. Gyms will soon open at 10% capacity. Yeah!
Before, too lazy to work out at home. Can't wait to build up my muscles again.

I've been to the gym everyday except today making up for lost time.
I noticed my body doesn't ache as much except for my sore muscles.
I also notice the work out helps my mental acuity. Maybe just a little bit so far.

I've been at the gym for awhile and I noticed not many people.
Even at 10% capacity, there's still plenty of room. I'm one of the oldest people there.
I thought once gyms reopen indoors, people would rush back in.
Could be most people dropped their membership.
I paid my annual fee so fees don't matter to me but maybe others just decided to cut their gym expense during these times.
Going back to normal will take longer than I expected.
