Have and have not, goodbye America

American capitalism was great for settling a new continent. Resource extraction is easy, and when the environment is given short shrift enormous profits can be extracted without regard for future generations. Kill or swindle all the original landowners, cut down all the forests, strip mine all the land, pump out all the hydrocarbons, and leave all the problems associated with robber baron capitalism for future generations to take care of. We're past that phase now, and we need to shift gears towards an economic system which is more sustainable, and with outcomes that are less stratified.
That's some word salad, worthy of a beauty contestant with a liberal arts degree.

Back to the wellspring of MAGA knowledge for you. Have you had your Trump commemorative kneepads surgically installed or are they still slip ons?

I hate grift. I dislike watching liars, cheaters & criminals prosper. I never wanted to go into the real estate industry, however "appraising real estate" fit my my particular mindset with regards to those issues just fine. I simply thought that since we were discussing "things that bothered us" I didn't give any more credit for your "anti-grift sentiment" than my "anti-starvation sentiment" with regards to what the weather outside happened to be doing at the time.
Maybe this will help: Grift is a real, quantifiable, thing - and is estimated at between $250B and $500B per year. 'Starving to death' in the US is simply hyperbole and straw man creation. Unless you have actual data to support your position that DT is allowing masses of people to starve to death each year?

You wouldn't last five minutes in Econ 101.

The best thing conservatives could do os get ahead of Medicare for all and before Democrats do. Medical should not be a roadblock and next go to step B. You can't pull yourself up by boot straps when you have no boots to wear. I'm in good shape but Medal is a nightmare for many.

Didn't help at all. You know starving people to death was "a figure of speech", don't you Ale old buddy? Are we not allowed to use those without being subjected to inpertinent ridicule here on the forum?

If we deport 25 million illegals that gives a head start on slowing down birth and sterilization of prisoner's and other misfits. Once we have the population under big control the housing and other cost go down.

I expect that from J. You're better than that. :)

Hyperbole is a great tool - when used to help demonstrate a point. There's just nothing to debate when you throw stuff out there like 'DT is letting people starve to death' (and similar). Not only are they often non sequiturs, there's just nothing really to debate (other than the ole' playground 'no he's not!' 'Yes he is!'), which generally devolves into somebody's mother being really ugly.

If it does in fact cost us five times more to produce something which is vital to our national defense then that means we spend that money rather than economize ourselves into oblivion.
Remember the $200 toilet seats You'd prefer it that way again?
