How many actually believe 3.6 will be fully implemented this year?

I'm just trying to get as much work as I can. One of the reviewers for a bank I do work for told me to get good at it now and I'll get buried in work when it's fully implemented and everyone that procrastinated is struggling.
Good idea. Raise your fees.

Conjecture? The mobile app operates much the same way with 3.6 as it did with 2.6. It just follows the form in an organized way. Nothing to conjecture. You just enter data once. I just read a post with a person who uses the Total Mobile app that has done 7 reports. It syncs up the same as with 2.6. Data shows up where it is supposed to show up.
Well, you staed you haven't doen a 3.6 yet, so it is conjecture how the mobile app will work for you.

Actually I have worked through over half the app on my own house. It's pretty straight forward, and it does the same thing the 2.6 portion does. You enter the data and it syncs to the desktop. It will definitely save time. At first I'll not be as efficient. But far more efficient than guessing in the field what I need only to come back to the desktop and have to tediously go through it and re-enter and upload photos or miss something.\

I really don't understand your hesitancy about using a mobile data app in the field. Now if you are an ACI user that may be different. But as a Total user this is clearly a major plus. And they are continually improving how it works.

I will try the mobile app after I learn the 3.6. One step at a time. From my perspective, the mobile app is more time-saving wrt photo placement than data entry. Everyone should accept the tech and changes and use them the way they want to. That takes the pressure off .

You're on the right track. There is no downside to mastering a process you use on a regular basis. There is only pain in procrastinating and avoiding it.

You appear to be an expert on 3.6, how many have you completed and what software are you using?

I'm obviously speaking on the concept itself. If you need to use Excel or Word in your process then it's more expedient and more profitable to develop that competency than to not develop that competency. When we transitioned from handwriting 1004s and having a typist type the report to writing them directly into the report on our PCs there were a few appraisers who declined to make that transition and who ended up suffering for that decision. Based on some of the rhetoric we're hearing it looks like some appraisers might make the choice to quit the GSE pipelines rather than transition, which is 100% fine if that's what they think is best for their situation.

It appears full time posting is profitable for some.

The nature of my book of work has me in front of my computer most of the time. I usually only go out to perform field work 1-2 times a week. Sometimes that's all day, but usually only for a few hours.

I have been spending too much of my time on this forum, though. That's why I'm backed up on my report writing.
