How much do you charge to measure a house for an agent?

Apparently we have a real cheapster running around my area. Complex houses are about the only time we get these calls, and there is some silly person providing sketches that rival the detail of construction plans at $50.

HEY NOW .. thats almost two bottles of Gin .. dont you be making fun of my fees ..... :rof::rof:

(PS ... And thanks for the compliment on my drawing ability)

For me it's an inspection fee. My trip fee - that is I go to the house for a scheduled inspection and no one is there, if $50. My inspection fee, that is I get out of my car and measure and look through the house (which you need to do it you are measuring even for an agent), is $100 minimum.

Use your hourly rate and the number of hours it will take to get to, measure and sketch the property. Then add something in for the liability you're taking on. That's why the broker wants you to measure it. Back in my brokerage days I saw buyers threaten suits over 50 sf descrepencies. In this area most brokers use the assessors numbers. Tought to sue the assessor. Well ,tough to win anyway.

Same as if it was a canceled order, $75 for trip, $75 for inspection, price goes up depending on complexity and distance from office.

I charge $100 just to get out of bed in the morning.

Now if she is really hot, wearing a real skimpy sun dress and no bra.....$150.

I can understand why she would pay you to get out of bed. Wonderful post ... even if perhaps a bit telling ..... :peace:

$50 - $100 sounds fair. I don't charge anything less than $50 and usually $100 for most additional forms etc.

How many request do you actually get? And where do you do the PR to get them?

Before I took the job with the state, I had a side business that did detailed floor plans...windows, door swings...everything. About a nickel per foot sounds right with a reasonable minimum.
