No, it is not. This claim is spreading so widely in the aftermath of Helene that FEMA set up a website to debunk it and other falsehoods.
Though FEMA and migrant relief programs are both part of the Department of Homeland Security, funds for each sit in separate accounts that are not intermingled. And the money earmarked for assistance to migrants can’t just be shifted to cover hurricane costs.

Still, former president Donald Trump has continued to repeat the falsehood about migrants during campaign rallies and on Truth Social, his social media platform.

Why are they earmarking funds for illegal immigrants instead of for helping those effected by storms. This is the issue they are sidestepping. It is like when Trump said he was being wiretapped, when it was called something else in how they were spying on him. The point is the money shouldn't be earmarked for illegal immigrants.

OMG Trump lied that FEMA money was directed to illegal immigrants when it was actually the Department of Homeland Security that FEMA is under. Such a difference.

Actually most of them are not military. They mostly work for NOAA. They fly specially equipped P-3 Orions or Gulfstream IV

The truth about FEMA funds was finally settled. There are two or more buckets of funds Mayorkas explained it.... basically he can move the money from one bucket to another as needed. One bucket had billions of dollars for migrants and billions for disasters.

So here is the real challenge. In the mountain region of NC and Tn that area roads and bridges were washed out ....So you can hand $750 to each person in cash or a debit card. Where are they going to spend it? Down in the flats in asheville. How are you going to get there? You can't, Maybe some country boy 4 wheel drive trucks with a winch and chainsaws can.

This is critical the temperature up there is getting into the low 40's at night. Humans can't survive those conditions very long without proper outer wear.

So I am going to compliment NC Governor Roy Cooper he is a democrat, His plan of action is excellent. I also Compliment Gov Desantis on his plan is excellent. FEMA also for florida. Not so much for NC. Ole Joe on tv last night spelled out his plan for florida. Excellent! He did kind of spell out what the fed/FEMA plan/support for NC. So I give Ole Joe 5 stars overall.

I give Kamala zero credit for anything. She is way out of her league. She was useless and clueless in NC.

The $750 is emergency cash - after that, FEMA will be helping residents and businesses with thousands to tens of thousands and teh region hundreds of millions over a year and after that too..

I don't know what yo expect Kamala to do with NC or what you expect any VP to do. She is helping Biden coordinate relief to a multi-state stricken area. Do you think she should be in NC shoveling dirt out of a muddy road? You hate her, you hate Biden, nothing they do would be enough. I Agree... I think he has hit the term limits set by the legislature awhile back for Gov so he is done after this election. Problem I have, I don't know who to vote for governor in november! I don't like any of them running.
