I'm A Wimp

I just got back from looking at a property. I measured it in the rain with a bad foot. You can't call me a wimp!

It's so cold here in the 50s during the day. Tomorrow it may hit 60, yeah. Next week will go back to 50s. I don't remember December being so cold. I was going to go south to L.A. next week but it's also in 50s there and raining. It's not suppose to rain in L.A.
Not going.

We've set a record low for the month here...and had warm spells too. Christmas was the 6th warmest on record...OTOH, that is since 1871 and so we get this warm about every 24 years. And we get snow about 1 in 30 years in Little Rock...about twice as often in Fayetteville which is 800' higher elevation.

But it isn't any step for a stepper like you is it? :) When I was a kid I had to walk in snow three miles to school in paper shoes and it was uphill both ways.

"Today, it's been raining and raining. I always look at the weather report and make my appointments when it's not raining. I let the homeowner choose appraisal dates which are the time when it's not raining. I don't like to get wet.
Tomorrow should be a good day."
Yes. You are a wimp. No way to sugar coat it. LOL

It's been raining for past 5 days and had a day break today (thank God). It's raining again tonight. Ugh! Tomorrow will rain again. Appointment for tomorrow was cancel by owner. Thank you.
Before I couldn't wait and made an appointment during the rain (it rained all day!). Terrible. My clothes and graph paper got soaked and I nearly slipped not once but three times (slippery deck and street). I think my knee has some soreness. Don't want to reinjure that knee again. Have to be careful. Please, no more rain!

Not that Michigan is unique when it comes to weather, but we experience all four seasons full blown. Hot and at times humid in the summer, great fall and spring days, 150+ inches of snow over a four to six month period in the winter along with rain and freezing rain. Temps run from below zero (wind chills -20 or lower) in the winter and 90's a few times in the summer. The last week is fairly typical for this time of year, temps in the single digits and nearly a foot of snow several days ago and today is suppose to be in the 40's with a southerly breeze. Very rarely do we cancel appointments or try to schedule them around the weather. My mudroom looks like a LL Bean/Cabela showroom. Foot ware runs from sandals to snowmobile boots, multiple weight jackets, rain suits and an insulated carhartt hooded coat and bibs. When it is time to head out for an appointment we just look out the door and select the appropriate attire. It isn't really that bad if you plan and dress for the weather. And yes remote start and heated/cooled seats are a nice luxury.

I'll stick with our 3 seasons. Right now is fall, so says the big ash tree out front and other trees in the hood, dropping leaves. There is no winter.
More rain than usual the last couple months. I don't cancel for rain, but hope to not have to measure a house in it.
But, if I must, I will. But I don't have to like it. :p
