"Inflation is coming down"

spectacularly dumb take so far all available evidence and polling suggests the polar opposite
Well, see, he says that you can’t believe the polls until after the conventions. Now, I haven”t done my own analysis of this so I don’t really know. And Peter is biased when it comes to Trump (probably out of political reasons to do with currying favor with TDS/LGBQT+/Military//CIA factions currently in control of the government).

We’ll see.

I recently ordered a toilet seat from Home Depot. I didn't know prices increased so much. Without tax, $56.
My wife wanted a new one. Got to make her happy.

Peter Zeihan may be "smart", but he suffers from terminal Trump Derangement Syndrome.

The CPI aggregate up over 20% since Biden!
Had lunch today - $15 plus some cents $3 tip. I am guessing but clearly lunch at the same place was under $10 in 2020. That's 50% increase for lunch and 50% increase for tip. Repaired AC in pickup in 2019. $850. Today? Over $2,000 and the mechanic replaced defective Chinese parts to find one to work.

I noticed lot more restaurants include the tip in the bill. Use to be 15% but now the standard is 18%.
Still, I think a third of diners don't tip and that's not fair which is why it's "mandatory".

Not for me. Since I wouldn't patronize any restaurant that adds a mandatory tip. But I do understand why some have mandatory tip for large groups.
Why wouldn't you go to a restaurant with a mandatory tip unless you don't tip or too little.
If you're happy with the service, you can always tip more.
Problem is that some are not aware of the tip included in total bill.
Few weeks ago, my future son-in-law's father took us out for dinner. He paid and added the tip.
When we were walking out the door, the considerate waitress told him that the tip was included. She was so nice.

Over the weekend, I thought the waiter service was rather slow.
I was going to leave a lesser tip.
But the bill included the tip. Oh well, that's fine.

I decide when and how much to tip. Tipping to me is a reflection of the service provided. Good friendly service equals good tip. When we do go out it is usually an upscale restaurant. If I remember correctly. The last time we went out (just the 2 of us) the tip was $80

My edit: One thing I do take into account many times is how the service provided relates to how busy it is, staffing levels and types of customers present. I don't expect a server to do the work of 3 people because it is busy and the restaurant is under staffed and the tables surrounding me are occupied by a bunch of rude over demanding aholes

Any restaurant that adds the tip without a posted policy will never see me again. If it is posted on their website. I don't go

You're a very judgey person. Waiter service is at your mercy. Their job is difficult enough.
