HELL YES! cant believe it has a zoom function too! this will DEF save me time. measured my house and it went by quicker than if i had my bosch. the best thing is i should be able to measure most home all from the outside. i hate having to measure inside too when i couldnt see my old laser's dot. this laser dot is much brighter. thanks for dragging me kicking and screaming into the world of lasers fellas! i can believe less than 1 year ago i was still using a wheel. good Lord...

lol, we couldn't believe it either ;)

Have you tried the 2-point pythagoras function?

The catch with pythagoras measuring is you need be consistent with the point of beginning measurement.

I like to press the disto to my chest and pivot my torso. Looks weird but works well.

Next, if the Disto features a camera function, one less device hooked to the belt.

with my bosch unit it was garbage. but as this little tutorial explains if i found out what the heck the inclination function/pythag is it might be useful in measuring 2nd story dormers, no?

The inclination function tells is different from the pythagoras function. Not too many dormer homes here, so not sure how you would apply that function to the measurement problem.

Now all you have to do is dump the IBM Selectric and Polaroid camera and you're in the 90's.
