MISMO XML

Perhaps that is why the suggestion from Alsie was to use the extra maps pages rather than the additional photo pages.
And I responded to that. It doesn't work. See my last post for details.

I hated having to deliver env. In fact, I wouldn't engage someone if they required env delivery. That's just me, though.

Doing one occasionally is a pain, for the same reason doing a 1025 from time to time is a pain - it is just not one is accustomed to. If one has a regular client that wants the format, one gets used to it, and it becomes far less of an issue. And, as I alluded to before, the software vendors could have made it easier :)

I be sooo sooo lucky to provide only pdf reports.

Your response refers to a "small photo frame." The extra map pages do not contain small photo frames. The image fills the entire page.
So you want to add a sepatate full photo page for every 2" graph plus separate photos of comp interiors, views etc that your explaining about and stick them in back that they have to find in the now 75 page report. Yeah, that's a great idea... said no one ever.
Like I said... env is a POS. I appreciate you proving my point, though. :flowers:

I've read the env reports. Env won't read graphs and photos in your additional comments. They also didn't take certain additional pages and it rearranged the order. They had size limits as well. I was using both a la mode and Sfrep... hardly some rogue software. I refused to do them. Mind you, they probably have improved it since I've done one, which had been 5 years ago. From what I understand, not many require it. Usually a crappy AMC required it.
My ENV report are in a different page order, but all of the stuff is in there.

I did not say that at all. But if you want to twist what I said into supporting your position, that is fine. My position remains unchanged - it is primarily about learning how to use the format to work for you, just as we have all done with MISMO XML. With ENV the software vendors do not make it as easy, but it really isn't as difficult as some (including some software vendors themselves) portray; there is a learning curve that some just do not want to deal with, and I get that. From what I have seen, some who use ENV still do not know how to view the final report to verify that it looks as intended, and many still buy into the false assertion that ENV changes the report. C'est la vie.

I'm sure you're correct. Personally - I choose to invest my time learning more meaningful stuff than delivering env. :)

I didn't twist anything. You suggested seperating the illustrations from the comments using a full page map or photo pages for 2x8" graphs . All I did was explain how that works out, which is not good.
Now, if you're going to tell me that you can now insert jpgs in the additional comments and have it not change the order of the report, then we can talk about how good it has become. But until then ... it a POS 100%.
