National Appraiser Boycott

If you want change, you have to do what the other side does - show up at board meetings and threaten them with lawsuits.

Revaa ain't signing no petition :rof: . They will flat out tell board members if they try to enforce a state law or sanction one of their members, they will sue them. I do respect them in that regard.

yeah a boycott won't work...because the under cutters and such had no problem doing coester appraisals  :rof:

Coester didn't want to pay appraisers based on federal law. So he called his revaa lobbyist and complained, the lobbyist opened his DC office window and yelled cross the street to the FTC and told them to sue the state of LA. And that's how a law written in black and white in DF, one of the largest pieces of swamp infested legislation ever written, gets to be ignored.

And we want to sign a petition? I think some of us think we're dealing with honorable, ethical, people. We are dealing with some of the nastiest swamp creatures around. Coester was a choir boy compared to the folks pulling the strings now. Coester wasn't even backed by a hedge fund like a few of them are now. :rof:

You aren't dealing with people or groups that are looking to "partner" with you.

If you actually think that all it takes to prompt the NCAB to cave is the threat of a lawsuit then you should definitely threaten to sue them to get what you want.

Petitions require real names. Not made-up cartoon names. My guess is that anyone unwilling to use their real name on a forum will damn sure not sign a petition that every AMC and lender will see.
Your guess would be wrong would be my guess.

The upteenth time you pedaled that crap. I use a screen name here and used my real name when I signed the last appraiser petition. (against lender pressure ) Many here told you the reason they use screen names, and yet here you are with your arrogant, baseless charge.

Did you sign the appraiser petition?

If I had to guess, I would bet the answer is no.
Pull it up. My signature is #1 and I helped write it. For the 20TH time I will tell you there far too few appraisers to lobby against NAR, Big Banking and others that send money to Washington, DC on a regular basis.

They are unusable! They have insurance. They are represented by and have an attorney from the NC Attorneys General's Office.

They were confronted in a public meeting about why is it that they only respond to threats of lawsuits, and that appraisers could band together and threaten to sue was well.

I think it was the “band together” part that they weren’t too worried about it.

But I think you already knew the difference.

This here is still America, and the govt is subject to being sued for misfeasance and malfeasance. When they get sued it will be a judge who adjudicates. If you think your argument is strong enough to prevail in front of a judge then "band together" shouldn't matter.

But I think by now you already knew that.
