Newest QC request: Don't use the Word "Diversity"

How about, “diverse styles” instead of the word, “diversity”?

I get it. When it comes to this stuff, people’s minds have become so open, their brains have fallen out. It has gotten out of hand to the point where the word police need a collective smack upside the head.

However, it is your career and you need to not get on the wrong side of your clients. Just change the word and vent here on AF.

They're not asking the appraiser to lie. They're just trying to keep the lawfare off them.

Dear GSE's,

Provide a list of acceptable adverbs, adjectives and nouns as well as verbs that meet the standards of Fannie and Freddie. While you are at it, explicate the context for each. :)

Oh, one more thing.....up your fees you cheapskates......the AMC's are taking over half of ours. Happy Holidays.

The funny part is I'm not supposed to reference the word in the revision request.. so they want me to change the report without indicating in the report what/why it was changed..

And fine.. it;s on a NoNo list... show me the list.. let me know what words to not use beyond the Fair Housing normal stuff.. but they wont because tomorrow it might be a new buzz word that someone who doesn't or can't actually read the repciort in context decides to change
I think I recently asked ACI the revise its review master to include a list of banned words, or comments. I am extremely opposed to what IMO is atop the steep slope towards censorship although it would be easier to know which words to ignore rather than to devote time to revising reports--although altgernatives to "diversity" might have been more appropriate, e.g., variance, range, variety, etc. that you can be required to revise/remove it is unacceptable, especially if rufusing to do so presumably would negatively affect your income. Good topic.

I will most likely end up revising it in some way, maybe change Diversity to Multfariousness just to make them look it up... And yes .. I know I'm being a bit pigheaded on this but if I make a mistake in a report I am more than happy to correct it but this is not a mistake... it is a correct use of the word in the context of the sentence it was part of.
you could always hypthenate the word, e.g., "Div-ersity."

so got this fun QC request tonight.

"Please revisit and revise the following term, ensuring that you do not repeat the identified words in your revision commentary: 'DIVERSITY'. "

Comment in the report references the diversity of the comparables in the general market area in terms of style, features and amenities specifically...

and was told to reference the FNMA B4-1.1-04 and FRE 5603.4 which does not state Diversity is a bad word ....

It's almost like no one actually reads our reports for context. I really wish someone would put together a list of all the specific words that are bad words now and not just normal basic English words
sorry if this is off-topic but I got nobody else to talk to: The word of the day IMO is "PREEMPTIVE." This appears to be a unique type of pardon recently conceived by Democratic polititians as a type of Presidential Pardon -- THAT WOULD GRANT PARDONS TO INDIVIDUALS WHO "MIGHT BE" indicated for crimes previously committed, presumably because of the potential for Tump prosecutors to pursue Democats, who consequently would be pardoned retrospectively in advance, so to speak For some reason that I can't describe, this gripes the **** out of me; and I wonder whether Preemtive Pardons will also pertain to crimes not just previously committed but currently unindicated--but for comes committed IN THE F'G FUTURE???

Wrong thread.
