No USPAP from what he said. He is literally just an inspector he says. Nothing appraisal related at all.

I know I'm the devil doing hybrids but those appraisals are the future sadly. Rather get a good name instead of joining in late.

Going where the market rides. If that's $75 inspections and $60-$150 hybrids from home with my kids. It's been good so far. Look at FNMA is doing from posts. The future.

But back on track. Who's Brett? Someone has to know this person. Ready! Set! Email!

I don't really care but let me say this. When someone is hired because they are an appraiser there are expectations that they will behave as an appraiser. Think about it...if there is not an expectation that they need an appraiser.....why would they hire an appraiser. Why would just hire a real estate agent or a school teacher?Good bit of this in USPAP. I guarantee there are state boards that will go crazy if appraisers try/ to take off the appraisal hat and wear a different one. Like I said, makes no difference to me.

Is he and/or (potentially) You being engaged as an appraiser to complete these assignment(s)?

Not necessarily, but I understand your sentiment

... yes and no (IMO)

From what the guy said they started with the appraisal panel that does desktops. From a demo the guy said Brett said they wanted to start with people they know.

Between 2008 and 2009 a company was using appraisers to measure homes and/or measure and interior inspect homes for insurance purposes. Sketch and photos required for both assignments....

The company reasoned appraisers were experienced for the company's needs.

Makes sense. Less training. Like a golf course needing some people to take care of the grounds. Hire a person who cuts lawns or a lawyer?

I know Brett. Not gonna give out his phone number or home address though.

Brett Karol
Vice President of Groundworks Inspections

I’d hope you can figure out the rest.
