Regulator wins TAF CEO position

Serious question. What was changed

These are the ones I know of.

1) Ending Direct Appointments by Outside Organizations

  • TAF restructured its Board of Trustees, putting an end to the ability of any organization to directly appoint someone to the Board.
  • This change aims to enhance transparency and ensure that trustee appointments are made through a more equitable process.

2) Introduction of a New "Partnership" Opportunity

3) Ending the Current Sponsor Category

4) Trustee Nominations and Public Interviews

  • Trustee nominations will now involve public interviews, promoting transparency and accountability.
  • The goal is to ensure that qualified individuals are selected to serve on the Board.

5) Streamlined Board Leadership Structure

You are correct. However the Trustee Nomination Committee identifies composition goals (targets) which apply to all open seats regardless of whether they are partner-nominated or public interest. An ideal Board composition would include a mix of representation from:
  • Licensed/Certified real property appraisers covering – Residential, Commercial, Agricultural, Mass Appraisals, and Eminent Domain
  • Qualified appraisers (those who follow USPAP) from unregulated disciplines – Business Valuation, Personal Property, International valuers
  • Real Estate Brokers/Agents
  • Consumers or Consumer advocates
  • Civil Rights advocates
  • Fair Housing advocates
  • Banking/Lending/Finance representatives
  • Academics
  • Others with an interest in valuation, including those from the legal community
Without "refreshing" my memory. I seem to remember that the current BOT seems to reflect the above. When it comes to civil rights advocates, fair housing advocates and academics. A few of the members seem to represent more than one of the afore mentioned. Which makes sense

Still leaving general population of licensed appraisers out of electing anybody to appear before BOT.

Okay. Lets go through who has records including contact info of all licensed appraisers in the USA. Do you know?

General election for one person after vote?

Bylaws don't allow that.

There are huge biases inherent in this process currently in place. Chopra knows it. He drilled Bunton.

It was interesting how Bunton evaded certain questions. He did the best he could. LOL

This my pat answer. We as TAF are not advocates of anybody. Hello? Are you sure Sir Bunton?

Of course, they are advocates for themselves that is.

  • Haha
Reactions: Zoe
The bylaws of TAF have been explained to you. That is the way it is. No general election for a rep to appear before BOT.
