I hope you are right about that, but I do have a fear that Corelogic could extract my files at any moment when the internet is connected between them and my computer. Logically-speaking, Alamode would be foolish to swipe our data without our permission, but the way they went about this whole SE debacle is really making me rethink my relationship with Alamode (especially considering that Corelogic is undoubtedly the driving force behind this free data grab- FREE for them that is). And if they were taking our data without our permission there is no way we'd ever even know it. Right now I'm wondering if Alamode is going to prompt me when I have used a comp before, or will they just tell me about comps I can buy.if an appraiser has not opt'd into SE then their data is not being shared.

You can still use "Smart Address" rather than smart exchange, only your comp data shows thru this tab.I called today to see if there was a way to turn off the "Peer Data". Apparently not, but there have been so many complaints they are thinking about it. A perfect example which prompted my call was a property that came up with 3 instances of "peer data" each entry had the right address but different pictures, none of which was right. Yeah, thats data I want to trust. Like I said before, garbage in , garbage out. No way I'd rely on crap data like that. Get rid of it ALM.

That's really depressing to hear. I actually liked the way previously used comps popped up as being used before, as soon as I entered an address. Silly me, I thought Alamode was offering a very useful tool to its software users. In reality, I think the Corelogicans were actually just setting us all up for their SmartExtraction swindle.Had this happen to me on the last 2 reports I did. Multiple comps I had done the purchase appraisal on weren't showing up as "yours", but the "peer" ones did. Had to bounce in and out of side by side to get them to show up. Also if I clicked on "show" they appeared.
