TAF and HUD make a deal...PAREA providers win

Well, I did face-to-face with thousands of fee appraisers in instructional settings over the years, which is far more appraisers than you or almost anyone you've ever met. And I was sufficiently informed of their plight and moved by it to collaborate with George Dodd, Pamela Crowley and Mike Johnson is writing up their proposal for the IVPI. Dodd and Crowley were adovcating for what amounts to a non-profit IVPI to function as a super AMC to replace them all, complete with VA-indexed fees and blind rotation. These ideas obviously didn't catch on at the time, but the reason for that had nothing to do with the participants somehow not caring about what's fair for fee appraisers.

What have you ever tried to do for any other appraiser? I mean other than blame the AMCs for the decisions and choices that the lenders made. On the logic-free basis, I might add.

That may be changing, a couple of people on FB collected that info and sent it to the CFPB where there's a sympathetic ear.

bunton gave the middle finger to the cfpb...and what have they done about it :rof: :rof: :rof:

i cant stop laughing...:rof::rof::rof:

TAF has nothing to do with how the lenders and AMCs do business. Besides which, Bunton is out and that clock has been reset.

AFAICT you haven't ever tried to do anything for any other appraiser. You don't contribute anything to any of the threads discussing the technical aspects of appraising. All you do is complain about what you believe these various parties have done to your business interests. And deliberately ignore the meanings and intent of certain terms when you think it suits your purpose.

I was involved in my state coalition for most of the last 15 years. From regular member to president twice. Attending countless board meetings, stake holder meetings, and met with legislators. Spending thousands of my own money traveling to those events while seeing others on business expense accounts come in and try to use their power and threats to gain influence. It was there that I saw how disgusting the AMC lobbying effort is. I still support appraiser advocacy, but I’m out of leadership now.

I meant your personal experience working with AMCs.

I know what you meant. But how about you - you don't even know how to appraise commercial properties or work on FRTs for those types of clients. What made you qualified to have any opinion in those matters any more than my exposure to SFR appraising? I can do what you do; I never stopped appraising SFRs. But you know very little about what I do.

Stop being a hypocrite. I don't need to work for AMCs to see what your struggles are, just as you don't need to work on FRTs to understand how that end of the business works when those issues are when under discussion. Identify politics and intersectionality don't work any better in the appraisal business than in any other venue. "If you don't agree with me then you ain't an appraiser" is sheer stupidity. Peak potato.

You aren't even objecting to or disproving the facts and reasoning. What you object to is my tone. How I say it.
