TAF and HUD make a deal...PAREA providers win

IMO-Political parties that allowed it to happen, new exactly what they were doing. (It's all about the money) Just peek at all the $$$$$$$$ diverted to their pockets, in the past15+ years' time.
If there's a fix for the fee appraisers those decisions will be imposed by the govt. Nobody else. That's why I think the CFPB and/or Congress is the more logical target audience for appraiser grievances. They can lean on the FTC to change their interpretation of the C&R elements of D-F.

The only cash I'm aware of is the $500k TAF grant that was awarded to the AI.

Money issues aside, it's simple math. If they expect to move the needle with PAREA, they have to ramp up from two grads a year to thousands a year (factoring in fallout) to have an impact in the next decade. Trying to accomplish that while the residential profession is declining in both volume and revenue is the definition of a pipe dream.
yeah, I don't see anybody going through it unless they think they can appraise a property and they have no credibility or knowledge of the subject property and spit out something that is not worth the paper it is written on.

Pay them $50 an assignment and move on. Just wait.

The next meltdown will be worse when prices fall.

Expect several news releases in the near future, with the exception of Bunton bureaucrats tend to jump when congress starts to ask to many questions:

“Richard Blumenthal, the senior U.S. senator from Connecticut, sent a letter last week to Acting U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Adrianne Todman asking why what he describes as a “backlog” of housing discrimination complaints has yet to be addressed.”

Donald J. Trump

@realDonaldTrump

How does Da Nang Dick (Blumenthal) serve on the Senate Judiciary Committee when he defrauded the American people about his so called War Hero status in Vietnam, only to later admit, with tears pouring down his face, that he was never in Vietnam. An embarrassment to our Country!

He doesn't serve there despite of it, rather because of it.
