You must not do many REO's :rof::rof::rof: & definately not in bad parts of town where people might mistake you for a drug dealer.

That's where we get alot of REO's & yes we do take our dog when needed in our "beater truck", sorry no offense to you but I don't want to give people the impression that I have something that they might want to steal or kill me over :)

Agreed, a shirt and tie is not appropriate for all assignments but the REOs I have been in are not a safe place for a dog. There are often fleas, broken glass, nails and screws scattered about and other hazards.

In a rural area, blue collar neighborhood and REOs I change to attire that that will have credibility and are appropriate there. I recognize that a coat and tie in some venues are viewed with suspicion and distrust and are inappropriate.

Some wannabe pretty boy in a coat and tie shows up in my yard, I let the dogs out, and say get 'em. Never trust a man in a tie. A tie serves no useful purpose except for a ready made hangmans noose in hand to hand combat.

PS the dogs have been known to take a man down by his tie, and drag him to and fro, one dragging, and one removing his shoes and socks for some clean ankle bone gnawing. It did take a while to teach them to go for the small hidden part of the tie to choke 'em out.:)

I would never let my dog ride in the back, that is really unsafe!

Hell, the red necks around here drive down the interstate with them on a flatbed with no siderails. I've seen some dogs make some mighty firm footholds! :Eyecrazy:

My wife worked with someone who let their dog ride in the back, with the leash tied inside the bed. The dog jumped out and was hanging from the side, dragging on the ground. The dog was very hurt, but was saved.

The problem with this poll is that if you don't have a dog the thread has little appeal to you and you would just pass it by. I noticed that I am in the group of 25% who "sometimes" take their dog on an inspection, but I suspect the number is considerably less than that.

I take my dog on inspections of foreclosed properties, she likes to check all the rooms. She's pretty thorough.

I take my dog on all foreclosed properties as well! I just love the ghetto!

Frederick,

Some people are professionals, others only think they are.

I thought I was the only "crazy lady" who brings her Aussie shepard on appraisals. I'm so glad I have company.
