Took the dog once in the new truck... Got to the property. got out an shot pics and measured.. it was raining..walked back to get into the truck... the dog had locked the door... it was then pouring - keys in the car - cell in the car - customer not there - dog in the car - it was raining - found a big rock - smashed the back window out - climbed in the truck

Window replacement $500 bucks

NO MORE DOGS
:rof::rof::rof:Not the dog's fault! Next time carry your keys with you.

Dear Smokey Bear, Oh, sorry to hear of your dog problem. Really though, have you considered that a. Your dog is smarter than you think or just plain smarter than you? & b. He or she could be mad at you or just plain doesn't like you?

Thanks for the good laugh.

True story..

My husband almost got car jacked in Cleveland, thank God he had the doors locked & was able to drive away. Of course that was while he was doing an REO.

So, being the paranoid wife that I am, I made him get an Akita to go with him, now I don't worry as much! She can intimidate the largest of men with one "smile".

Here's a picture of her "smiling"

Aww! I love Akita's! Our neighbor had one when I was little, very beautiful dog.

I used to all the time, but someone complained to the client. I still take her along sometimes, but I try to park out of view of the borrower. Of course, the borrower complained two weeks later, after they didn't get the loan they wanted because of construction in progress...I'm sure if I'd memory lapsed the missing kitchen, they'd of forgotten completely about my dog.

I take mine with me all the time. If on occasion my wife goes along I make the wife sit in the back. My dog is 12 years old and has diabetes and is now blind with cataracts, but were getting that fixed next week. Final cost, around 4 grand. If it was my wife I'd just shoot her (NOT REALLY). If you want to know who really loves you, lock your wife or girlfriend, or both and your dog in the trunk for an hour and when you open it see who's glad to see you.

:rof::rof: No wonder your dog likes ya better!

If I took my dog with me, I wouldn't take off my shoes.:)

I don't want to be rude to anyone but its hard to believe that you are being serious. I hope this thread is "tongue in cheek".

I show up in a clean late model sedan with a coat and tie and I am there for business, not social conversation or anything else. I just want to know about their real estate. I do my job by myself and I leave...no pets, kids, girlfriends or spouses.

If I were a homeowner paying for an appraisal I want to see someone who looks successful and knows what he is doing show up and do his job and leave. I don't want to deal with his dog, kid or anything else. Its not a social visit.

If the appraiser shows up in a beat up pickup truck with a dog in the back it isn't giving me confidence that my financial institution has engaged a first class professional who is successful and knowledgeable.

I would hope that people in this profession would have the savvy, tact and social awareness to know what is appropriate and what is not.

You must not do many REO's :rof::rof::rof: & definately not in bad parts of town where people might mistake you for a drug dealer.

That's where we get alot of REO's & yes we do take our dog when needed in our "beater truck", sorry no offense to you but I don't want to give people the impression that I have something that they might want to steal or kill me over :)
