I can't believe this is even a question on here. But I guess if you're an appraiser in the country it's a different story.

Oh Gordon .... if you stick around a bit longer you will truly not believe the kinds of polls and questions pop up here :rof:

I take my kids occasionally, but they too can tear up my seats when left in the car too long. Just kidding.

If I don't have to get out of the car (dr bys), I will take both of mine with me ( a 60# short haired pointer and a 50# big red fluffy guy). I will also take the fluffy guy with me if I am going to the hood and am uncomfortable. I leave him in the car with the windows down but let it be known that he is there. I would like to think that if he thought something was up, he would come get me. Plus residents of the hood typically don't like dogs - its almost like having a body guard!

my kids

this is Simon (the red guy) and Tessa (the pointer on my son's bed - she makes herself at home WHEREEVER she is - very poor manners!)

Jr. is a pit mix that we rescued 9 years ago and regretted ever since. The worst dog ever, but the only way he behaves is if he's close to me. He stays in the truck and looks menacing, but is basically useless as a watchdog.

I'm hoping someone will steal him and the truck someday. (I kid)

For example: Today he got out of the truck and chased a duck into the Lamoille river. Now my truck smells even better than it did with a dry dog in it.

Turn off your power windows

I had my boxer, Kramer, along for a day of appraising. As I was driving, a yelp came from the back seat of my Explorer. Kramer used to stick his head out the window, but not anymore. That day, with his head out the window, Kramer managed to step on the window button. The window rolled up and literally, scared the crap out of him. Luckily I noticed and switched his window off. I'm also lucky that I had a cover on the seat, because he sprayed liquid crap all over when he was freaking out.

Nanette, Simon is a handsome fellow. That coloration is very cool.

I take my 65 LB dog to the less desirable neighborhoods so it looks like I have a mean dog, and on one day trips for company. I leave the worthless ankle biter (Jack Russell Terrier) at home.

Sorry, Nanette, but "Simon" looks to me like he'd hand over the car keys for a belly rub. :rof: :rof: :rof:
