What are they hiding? They have published the UAD 3.5 spec and it is available online on both the Fannie and Freddie websites....you may not like the new UAD 3.6 spec, but it is out there and available for anyone to look at. You may also may think it sucks, but there is nothing dishonest about it.Like every other change, there will be some initial pain and a burn-in period and if the new form requires additional time and work, fees will adjust to some new equilibrium.
The appraisers who are worried about there not being enough busienss should actually hope that the new form takes more time and decreases efficeincy, as that would actually have the effect of increasing demand for appraisers.
